Can You Handle the Pressure - Butterflies Twist

Dear Ones~
Another challenge is up over at the Can You Handle the Pressure blog.

For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on our project.  Heat (wet) embossing is permitted but only in addition to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:

BUTTERFLIES

The twist is OPTIONAL!!
As long as you use an embossing folder, your project qualifies!!!

Here is my card
For this card I used a die called Sensational Butterfly Collage by Memory Box. I first cut it out of metallic gold card stock, and then cut it out a second time with patterned paper from Crafter's Consortium called Ink Drops Vivid. All the patterned paper pieces were inlaid into the gold die cut. Time consuming for sure, but really worth it.  The white panels behind the butterfly are die cut pieces from the Sensational Butterfly Collage die which I ran through a Swiss Dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug. An oldie but definitely a goodie. Those pieces were inlaid as well.

  The Ingredients:
SU Blackberry Bliss and Soft Succulent Card Stock
GKD Lovely Lilac and White Card Stock
Tim Holtz Metallic Card Stock
Crafter's Consortium Ink Drops Vivid Patterned Paper
Memory Box Sensational Butterflies Collage
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
SU Flourishing Flowers Stamp for Greeting
Trinity Stamps Bubble Blowout Baubles

Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge

Dear Ones~
This month over at the Gina K Designs Monthly Mix Challenge my dear online bestie Barbara Campbell is hosting. I have known her virtually for quite some time, and she is over-the-top talented. Go visit her BLOG and you'll see what I mean. Her challenge is THREE THINGS. We must use (1) an image, (2) a die cut and (3) a sentiment.
Here's what I came up with:

This image has been toner foiled with a stamp from Gina K Designs. I stamped the image in black ink, copied it with my laser printer to apply the toner, and then ran it through my laminator with the foil. SO MUCH FUN to find out I can foil any of my stamped images. It's a game changer. I colored the image with my Blick Alcohol Markers and then die cut it with the companion die.

The Ingredients:
Gina K Designs Ivory, Lovely Lavender and Ocean Mist Card Stock
Gina K Designs Basket weaver Cover Plate Die
Gina K Designs Sweet Spring Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Black Onyx Ink
Gina K Designs Sweet Sprigs Stamp Set for Greeting (I think it's retired)
Gina K Designs Gold Embossing Powder
Deco Foil in Gold

Thanks for stopping by, I always appreciate your lovely comments. Stay tuned for more fun challenges with old Stamp TV friends over at Gina K Designs

Until next time, here's celebrating your creative Muse!!

Can You Handle The Pressure - Flowers Twist

Dear Ones~
I am very happy and honored to announce that I have been invited to sit on the Can You Handle the Pressure Design Team. I am beyond flattered that they would have me.

FLOWERS

The twist is OPTIONAL!!
As long as you use an embossing folder, your project qualifies!!!

Here is my card:
I used a beautiful hot foiling plate by Spellbinders called Sweet Bloom Borders and foiled it in gold. It was colored with watercolors and then fussy cut. I used a Sizzix embossing folder called Organic Petals and covered the entire card base with the embossed white card stock panel. Then I adhered the fussy cut border along the edge and added a tiny strip of gold card stock. The greeting was gold hot foiled with a plate by Spellbinders called Yana's Sentiments. For a final touch I added the little gold baubles onto the embossed panel.

The Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Sizzix Organic Petals 3D Embossing Folder
Spellbinders Sweet Bloom Border Hot Foil Plate
Spellbinders Yana's Sentiments Hot Foil Plate for Greeting
Mission Gold Watercolors
Tim Holtz Metallic Card Stock
Trinity Stamps Gold Baubles
