Just Us Girls #413 - Wild Card!!!!

Dear Ones~
This week it's WILD CARD WEEK over at Just Us Girls! That means it's the fifth Saturday of the month, and anything goes. Our gal Nancy has asked us to do WORD DIE CUTS on our card.

Here's what I came up with:
I wish you could see this card in real life. I have put glitter all over that dream catcher and all the flourishes and things in the background. Try as I might, I could NOT get that glitter to photograph. Boo!!!! It's just beautiful. The word has been die cut from some Hunky Dory Mirri Ombre card stock. I could NOT get it to show up, but it's kind of a wine color. It just looks dark in the photo. I stamped and white heat embossed the dream catcher from GKD onto the HOTP patterned paper. I love all the flourishes and ethereal feel of this background paper.

Here are the Ingredients:
SU Tranquil Tides and Fresh Fig Card Stock
Hunky Dory Mirri Ombre Foil Card Stock
HOTP Twilight Jewels Patterned Paper
GKD Dream Catcher Stamp
Little Yellow Bicycle Dream Die
GKD White Embossing Powder
Stash Gems

Please visit the JUST US GIRLS blog to see the wonderful examples that our September Guest Designer Linda and the rest of the team have made this week. And remember, if you win Chic of the Week in any of our September challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of November!!   Good luck, and I hope to see you there.

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments!
They always make me smile!!

Double D - Sentiment/Quote

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D Team Darlene has challenged us to use a Sentiment or Quote on your card.

Here is the Mood Board provided for your inspiration:

 And here is my card:
The background for this card was so much fun to do. I saw a video over at Splitcoast Stampers showcasing the technique. You can watch it HERE. I used my Oxides and a stencil. The quote is one of my favorites. It's an old wood block rubber stamp by Inkadinkado, I have had it forever. The dragonflies are a die from Stampin' Up and I die cut it twice, once in black and once in purple glitter paper. Then I inlaid the wings with the glitter paper. I love doing inlay, it's like putting together a puzzle.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Wild Orchid and Black Card Stock
Recollections 110# White Card Stock
Canson XL Watercolor Paper
Distress Oxide Inks in Seedless Preserves & Wilted Violet
Inkadinkado Stamp
SU Dragonfly Dreams Die
Paper Studio Glittered Paper Pack
Hero Arts Glorious Petals Stencil
GKD Black Embossing Powder
Nuvo Jewel Drops
