When I saw this inspiring photo I immediately thought of the awesome stamp set by Kitchen Sink Stamps called 3 Step Sea Shells. PTI Rustic Cream Card Stock
Kitchen Sink Stamps 2 Step Sea Shells
Greeting by HOTP
Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch

And remember, if you win Chic of the Week in any of our March challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of May.  Good luck, and thanks for stopping by!!

Friends of a Feather

Dear Ones~
I just finished watching the Make It Monday video over at Papertrey Ink and had to make a card for the challenge.  LOVE doing sponging over embossing.

HERE'S MY CARD
So I pulled out my Feather Finery set and white embossed the largest feather. Then I sponged it with Distress Inks, stamped the companion accent dots over the feather with Versamark and embossed it with silver powder. The flowers are from the PTI set Graceful Greetings. I think the feather is just gorgeous with the white embossing!!

 Here's the Ingredients~

PTI Feather Finery Stamp Set

GKD White and Silver Embossing Powder
Ranger Black Enamel Accents

So glad you stopped by, I adore your comments! Have wonderful week, my friends!!

For Dad

Dear Ones~
I decided this year to make my dad a book mark instead of an Easter card. He is an avid reader, and he will be able to use the book mark all year long.

Here's the result~~~
I got to play with some foiling with this one. I took the cross die and made a copy of it with my laser printer. Then I cut the shape out and foiled it through my laminator. I think Becca Feekan came up with the idea. You can see her tips HERE.
This book mark is a folder with two magnets on the inside bottom. You place the book page inside the folder and let the magnets grab each other to hold the book mark in place.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Gold Foil Card Stock from my Stash
Spellbinder Cross Die
Recollections Espresso Patterned Paper Stack
Minc Gold Foil
Foiled Computer Generated Greeting
Laser Printer
Scotch Laminator

This will be entered in the Double "D" Challenge,
here is the inspirational photo~

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week, I adore your comments!

Peek-a-Boo

Dear Ones~
I have been very busy trying to keep up with my duties on the design teams for Mod Squad and Just Us Girls. But I thought I better play along with the latest challenge over at Power Poppy. The challenge this month is to make a Peek-a-Boo card.

Here's what I came up with:
I'm here to tell you right now, I found this to be a very difficult challenge. It's not so easy getting those images in just the right place so they peek out through the cut outs.
Here's the inside.

And here's a close up of the stamping.

I used my new Power Poppy set Short Stacks which I won recently. Thanks, Marci!!! I think the images are the cutest. The little pot of tulips is part of a bigger image. I had to mask it off to just get the pot and flowers so it would fit in the cut out. I also used the Simon Says Stamp die Ring Frame. I cut out the shape, with several different papers and then inlaid the circles in different colors. That is so much fun - I love the inlaid look.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Momenta Watercolor Patterned Paper
Power Poppy Short Stack Stamp Set
HOTP Botanical Frames Stamp Set for Greeting
Simon Says Stamp Ring Frame Die
Zig Clean Color Markers
Ranger Enamel Accents
Stash Sequins

So that's it for me tonight. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and the first day of spring. WOW, that went fast. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. Oh, and I love your comments.

Mod Squad Challenge - Rainbow Connection

Dear Ones~
It's time once again for me to host the challenge over at The Mod Squad Challenge Blog. This week the theme is THE RAINBOW CONNECTION! It's March, and that mean's St. Patrick's Day, and that means Leprechauns, and that mean's pots of gold at the end of the rainbow. So.....you are invited to paint a rainbow on your card. You don't necessarily have to do an actual rainbow, but you must use rainbow colors - red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

This week our SPONSOR is the wonderful stamp company

Kitchen Sink Stamps offers us a discount CODE: ModSquad15.

These stamps are amazing. Most have a multi-stamp feature that lets you get great detail in your images using several colors. There is real dimension with a 3-D effect! And one of the best features of this stamp company is that there are color recipes for most of the multi-step stamps, so you don't have to guess what colors to use. There are even alternative colors if you don't have the inks that are suggested. Maria from Kitchen Sink Stamps is a member of our Mod Squad Challenge Facebook Group so feel free to say Hi or ask any questions.

It's Easy Being Green

Dear Ones~
Well, it's been a few days since I posted anything, but I have been busy at work creating some new things. This card is green.....all green....and I don't really love it. I love the green part, just not the card itself. But there you just are and that's all I have to say about that. We all have our ugly card moments, lol.

I wanted to use this sketch from the My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge:

I also wanted to enter this Double "D" Photo Challenge:
So here's my card, don't judge:
As you can see, the Double "D" Challenge is to make a green card with just a pop of red. I have been so in love with the W Plus 9 Happy Birds Stamp set, these images just make me smile. So I had to use them again on this card. I made my own tag, embossed with a Paper Studio Embossing Folder and sponged with Distress Inks. Oh, and how do you like the new Vuvo Crystal Drops? I just got a bunch of colors; here I used the bright green. They take the place of enamel dots, you use them like Liquid Pearls, and they are a dream!! I LOVE them!!!!

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Fresh Asparagus and Ivory Card Stock
Paper Studios Embossing Folder, sorry, don't know the name
Recollections Habitat Patterned Paper
W Plus 9 Happy Birds Stamp Set & Companion Dies
Tim Holtz Scribbles and Splat Die
Distress Inks
Cheery Lynn Flourish Die
Vuvo Crystal Drops
Enamel Accents
White Gel Pen & Stickles

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Double "D" Challenges - Feeling Green
Scrapy Land - Anything Goes with a Die
Simon Says Monday - Take a Leap into the Unknown
                                (my new Crystal Drops)
Simon Says Wednesday - Touchy Feely, Add Some Texture

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. And for those of you who live in states that participate in Daylight Savings Time, a week from tomorrow is the turn over. Spring forward, my friends! Spring is coming, spring is coming!!!!
