Dies R Us - Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Dear Ones~
Well, it has been quite some time since I have written on this blog. We spent 3 weeks camping on Lake Superior with our fifth wheel.  3 days after we arrived home I headed to Midland for my 55th high school class reunion, and last weekend I spent 3 days with my besties for Girls' Weekend. Whew, finally have time to catch my breath.

Today's offering is for the Dies R Us Challenge.  The challenge is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I have no images or dies that are appropriate for these subjects, but I thought a hot air balloon is sort of a plane. So here is my card:
For this card I used dies from Waffle Flower, Elizabeth Craft Designs and Penny Black.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Red Velvet, White, Black and Sweet Mango Card
Penny Black Antique Frame Dies
Elizabeth Craft Designs Ribbons and Jewels Dies
Waffle Flower Year Round Words Die for Greeting
SU Carried Away Patterned Paper
SU Lift Me Up Balloon and Cloud Stamps
SU Real Red and Basic Gray Inks

So happy to be back in the blogging world again. I have missed my craft room and the opportunity to be creative. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I so appreciate your lovely comments. They always brighten my day!!!
Hugs~

Double D - Focus on the Sentiment

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are FOCUSING ON THE SENTIMENT. That means we are to use the sentiment, or greeting, on the front of our card as the focal. Here is the Mood Board provided for our inspiration:

And here is my card:

I recently got this really cool stamp set by Altenew called Pattern Power. It's a multi-step stamping set which, after stamping in different colors, gives you a 3-dimensional looking image. After I stamped the 3-D image I stamped a greeting by Paper Wishes called Artful Affirmations on top of that, and heat embossed with black. I love the result.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Blue Lagoon Card Stock
GKD Key Lime Card Stock
GKD Black Card Stock
Altenew Pattern Power Stamp Set
GKD Blue Lagoon Ink
GKD Key Lime Ink
GKD Ocean Mist Ink

Versamark Ink
GKD Fine Detail Black Embossing Powder
Stash Ribbon
Nuvo Crystal Drops

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you would win this fabulous die by Pink and Main. And don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created.

Here's what I came up with:
I decided that I wanted to make some inserts for my phone cover. You can get the clear plastic covers for pretty cheap on Amazon. So I made myself a template by tracing around the cover, and cut out the shapes.
For the poppy insert I used GKD Water Droplets Stencil and sponged with Ocean Mist and Key Lime Inks. Then I stamped the poppies with the GKD Poppy Inspiring Poppies mini stamp set. The Poppies were colored with Copics.  For the purple flower insert I used the GKD stamp set Hugs and Wildflowers by Lisa Hetrick. I made some masks and stamped the flowers in a pleasing arrangement on Bristol paper. These flowers were colored with Zigs.
