Posies in a Jar

Dear Ones~
I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was slow and easy. We are in the middle of a kitchen renovation, so we spent a fair amount of time yesterday at Home Depot with our Kitchen Designer Yvette. She's awesome!!! I'm so excited.

Today's offering is for the Stamp TV Release Party Challenge. It's called "Cut it Out". We are to use a stamp and die set for the focal image on our card. Here's what I came up with~

I used this sweet floral bouquet from the You Have My Heart set. It was so much fun to color with my Prismas. Then I cut it out with the companion die and placed it on my card. I cut out a circle so that the focal is showcased with the empty space and you can see through to the inside. The upper white panel is embossed with a Buffalo Plaid embossing folder.
I think it's pretty cute.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Blue Raspberry, Black Onyx & White Card
GKD You Have My Heart Stamp
GKD Tropical Blooms Stamp for Greeting
Echo Park Buffalo Plaid EF
Prismacolor Colored Pencils
SU Layering Circles Dies
Stash Gems

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. Have a good week, dear readers. I love you all!!!

Hugs~

Dies R Us - Stained Glass Inlay

Dear Ones~
I hope you had a decent weekend. It's the most we can hope for, right? Today's offering has been made for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. Here is my card:

And here's how I made it:
First I cut the die out 4 times. Once in white, and three times in black. I layered them all together to give a nice dimension.
I attached the die cuts onto a polka dotted vellum panel.

Then I set about cutting out all the birds and leaves in different colors. Mind you, these are teeny TINY pieces. I was beginning to wonder what I had gotten myself into.

Now comes the challenge. inlaying all those little pieces parts into the correct spaces. This is NOT for the faint of heart. If you don't have patience, I DO NOT recommend this technique. Was it worth it? I say yes, and I will be doing it again.....but not for awhile.

Next I cut myself a little sweet frame from the  Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 2 Die set.

Finally it was time to put it all together......whew!!!!

I love all the dimension this card has. I'm very happy with the result!

Here are the dies I used:

Dies R Us - Valentine Hugs

Dear Ones~
C'mon spring!!! I am so tired of winter, with all the slush and cold. But, at least I have my cozy craft room in which to hibernate. I am a lucky girl.
Today's offering is for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. Here is my card:

And here is how I made it:
I began by cutting out my background panels with the WAFFLE FLOWER FANCY LABELS 2 DIES. I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug to emboss the pink panel.

Then I created my die cuts. I used the TUTTI SWIRLY HUGS
which I cut out twice, once in white, once in pink. I isolating the pink letters and glued them onto the white.
Next I used the SUE WILSON FAUX QUILLED BLOOMS to cut out my flowers and leaves.
And lastly, I used the beautiful SUE WILSON SWIRLY LEAF TRIO for some more embellishment. I LOVE this set. It's just gorgeous.

Now it's time to put it all together. Here is another view.

Here are the dies I used:

GKD Monthly Mix - The Envelope Please

Dear Ones~
Today's offering has been made for the Stamp TV Monthly Mix Challenge. It has been far too long since I have participated in a Stamp TV Challenge and I greatly miss it. I'm so happy to have some time to play with my Gina Stamps. For this month's challenge we are to decorate an envelope. We can include a card if we like, which I have done, but the envelope is the star.

Here is my Creation:
I used Melanie's Year of Flowers 2 stamp set for this. The envelope was made with some patterned paper using my Envelope Punch Board. Then I stamped the images in the corner using the masking technique. I also stamped the images several times on plain paper, and then colored them with my Prismacolor Pencils. I have really been enjoying using my Prismas lately. After the images were colored they were fussy cut and I then constructed my card.

Here are the Ingredients:
Recollections Rose Petals Card Stock
GKD Warm Cocoa Card Stock
DCWV Preserved Paper Patterned Paper
GKD A Year of Flowers 2 Stamp Set
GKD Dark Chocolate Ink
Tropical Blooms Stamp/Die for Greeting
Prismacolor Pencils
Judy Dots

Thanks so much for taking a look. I really enjoyed making this set. I don't often decorate the envelope, and I think it's such a nice touch. Makes the handmade card even more special. I appreciate all your lovely comments, you are the best!

Hugs,
