Dear Ones~
So happy to be posting a card today. They are coming few and far between these days. It must be summer!! (Insert happy dance here). My card has been created for the Poppy Sketches Challenge. They provide the sketch and one other POP. This time it's to use the harlequin pattern somewhere on your card.
Here is the sketch:
And here's my card:
I couldn't find any harlequin paper in my stash. Can you believe it? I have more designer paper than 5 people could use in 2 lifetimes. You would think there would be what I want - but NO!!! So I decided to make my own by scoring some ivory card stock and then stamping the butterfly and leaf images on it. I finished it off with some Liquid Pearls to accent the design. The butterfly has 3 layers, with the last one being out of vellum.
Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs Jellybean Green Card Stock.
Gina K Designs Ivory Card Stock.
Gina K Designs Petals and Wings Patterned Paper
Gina K Designs Petals and Wings Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Nature's Greetings Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Spring Basket Stamp Set
Papertrey Ink Button Stacks Die
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Liquid Pearls
Judy Dots
It's been raining quite a lot here. Hoping it will make our gardens pop. That's it for me, thanks for stopping by my friends.
Beautiful card. I love the colors and Your butterfly. Great work. :)
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable Judy!! I love the layered butterfly! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Poppy Sketches!
ReplyDeleteWow! A girl after my own heart. If you don't have what you need, you make it. And so well too! Great idea to add the butterfly and the flowers too. You just rock, girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea...I am working on this challenge as I write this and I to can't figure out how I am going to incorporate the pattern in my card...Your card came out gorgeous! I miss chatting with you! <3
ReplyDeleteOh; Judy, you are one clever lady....if you don't have it, you make it. Love the bright cheerful colors and the layered butterfly. Another great card my friend.
ReplyDeleteWOW! So bright, so cheery, so happy! I think your background is fabulous, even prettier than any Harlequin DP I have in my stash too. Well done, Missy! Now make another one for the Mod Squad Challenge! ;) (this would have done double duty!)
