Well, this will be my last post as Just Us Girls Guest Designer. My, the month has gone by fast!!!! It has been my great good pleasure, and a real honor, to have served as a guest on the design team. Thank you, girls, for inviting me!!
This is Anything Goes Week, and the challenge is to make the sentiment the focal point of your card.
Here's what I came up with:
I used Papertrey Ink's Hexagon Cover Plate, punched out all the "innies" and stamped them with the companion stamps called Happy Hexagon Mini Stamp Set. The set comes with several different patterns, and they fit perfectly inside each hexagon. The result is an inlay effect - a technique I happen to love. It's a little tedious, but worth the time I think.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White and Black Onyx Card Stock
Stampin' Up Feel Good Stamp Set
Papertrey Ink Hexagon Cover Plate Die
Papertrey Ink Happy Hexagons Mini Stamp Set
GKD Inks in:
*Turquoise Sea
*Grass Green
*Sweet Corn
*Bubblegum Pink
Die-namics Stitched Circles Die
Spellbinders Lacy Circles Die
Judy Dots

ReplyDeleteTedious is right, but oh the finished card is so incredible! Great job on being the Guest Designer and it looks like you had a lot of fun. I did catch the little stand that the card is on. That is really nice too and I just wonder if you made it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a Feel Good stamp!!! Love that sentiment and those amazing colors you chose for your entire card! The quilt effect you achieved looks like it was worth all of your effort! It's beautiful! I love that inlay technique and hardly ever use it....WHY?!?! I also love that your Judy Dots are still available! lol
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card.....you never disappoint! I love in-lay cards but they are a lot of work. Your colors are so bright and beautiful, and I love the sentiment. You are amazing! We are so happy that you were our Guest Designer this month.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing card to end your GD run with, Judy! I thought when I first saw this that you cut different patterned papers to in-lay, but you STAMPED them! Wow! We are so glad to have you as our GD this month, and we hope to see more of your incredible creations entered at JUGS in the future! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThat is so bright and beautiful. That card is a ray of sunshine itself and love the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, Judy!

ReplyDeleteJudy, your hexagon background is a fabulous backdrop for that super sentiment! A really great card!
