Just Us Girls #356 - Trend Week

 Dear Ones~

It's TREND week over at Just Us Girls, and our host Ina has picked the trend WATER COLORING. This is probably my favorite medium.

Here's my example:
I found this beautiful patterned paper by Stampin' Up in my stash. It's retired, and I'm sorry but I don't know the name. I thought the Beautiful Day Stamp Set by Altenew matched the patterned paper perfectly, so I went with it. The striped piece is a Stampin' Up background stamp. LOVE that I can do the stripes in any color!! I watercolored the flower with my Zigs.....I adore my Zigs!!!
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Fresh Asparagus and White Card Stock
SU Patterned Paper
SU Diagonal Stripe Stamp
Altenew Beautiful Day Stamps
SU Wild Wasabi, Real Red & Dapper Denim Ink
Darice Basket Weave Embossing Folder
Zig Clean Color Markers

Please visit the JUST US GIRLS blog to see the wonderful cards that our awesome August Guest Designer Colleen and the rest of the team have made this week. And remember, if you win Chic of the Week in any of our August challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of October!!   I hope to see you there.

Good luck, and thanks for stopping by!!

  6. WOW! That flower makes a statement. The floral background is perfect, and breaking up the busy pattern with the stripes and providing the neutral background makes it pop more. Love it.

  10. I've tried matching flower stamps with paper before and I love the results. Yours is fantastic, Judy, and your stamping of the stripes is so perfect I thought it was paper too.
