Dear Ones~ There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure. For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project. Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.
The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
POINSETTIA
Here is my sample:I found this random embossing folder in my stash. I have no idea where it came from - maybe in one of those magazine bundles?? I really like it and will probably use it more. I adore this Elizabeth Craft Designs poinsettia die set. The dies are really detailed. All I had to do after cutting them out in red cardstock was to sponge a little dark red and white ink on them. The greeting is from Simon and it's by Cathy Zielske. I love that it's in French.
The Ingredients:
GKD Red Velvet & White Cardstock
Tim Holtz Gold Metallic Cardstock
Stash Embossing Folder
Stash Flourish Die
Elizabeth Crafts Designs Florals 29 for Poinsettia
SSS Joyeux Noël Die for Greeting
Trinity Stamps Gold Baubles
If you head on over to the Can You Handle the Pressure Blog
and
play along, you could win this beautiful embossing folder, I love this one by Tim Holtz. And don't forget
to
check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created while
you are there. I can't wait to see all your wonderful designs!!
Until next time dear reader, I hope you "can handle the pressure"!
Here's celebrating your CREATIVE MUSE.

Wow, what a beautifully stunning card!! All your elements work so beautifully together and your Poinsettia looks so lovely, love the 'French' sentiment too, I took French in high school (a few years ago)..HAH! Bonjour'
ReplyDeleteYour embossing folder has a great border to place the poinsettia flower. That flourish in gold is quite the design with the gold babbles and the beautiful gold sentiments a French flair! I think that I need that detailed poinsettia die. Or do I really???
ReplyDeleteThe swirl on the embossing leads your eye right to that beautiful poinsettia, Judy. I love all its layers and the way you accented the leaves with color.
