Double D - SIGNS OF LOVE

Dear Ones~
This time the challenge over at Double D is SIGNS OF LOVE. It can be wedding, anniversary, hugs, hearts, love, engagement, whatever you come up with. Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration.

This is my sample:
This is a little different than what you might think I would do for "signs of love", but isn't it just that? I am in LOVE with this little stamp from Stampin' Up called Sweet and Precious. There are some other images in the set that are just as sweet. I kinda tried to give an arctic feel to this, and added the vellum arch to spotlight the penguins after I had fussy cut them out. I dunno why I added the leafy element, I just liked the movement it gave. That holographic card stock gives the element of the Aurora, I think.

  4. Judy all I can say is your artistic Characteristics are really showing on this card. Not only did you pick a lovely pair of Penguins showing so much love but I love the way you designed the leaves which of course did give movement and the holographic paper which gave that Aurora borealis. I am so looking forward to seeing some of that when we go to Iceland this next September.

  7. You definitely captured the artic feel with the holographic and vellum. The love shines bright between this mama penguin and her baby chick. A true sign of love as she looks adoring at him/her. I love the movement of the foliage too!

  9. You may not know why you added that leafy accent, but I'm glad you did....kind of gives a more magical vibe, don't you think? The image is darlin' but man oh man your background is out of this world! I loooooooove that! It's magical and whimsical! The holgraphic foiled paper makes it even more so! Brilliant!
