Watercolor Peonies

Dear Ones~

Another gloomy day....expecting lake effect snow for the next week. But I don't care - more time to craft. My talented BFF, Barb Campbell (check her blog HERE) is hosting this week over at the Mod Squad Challenge, so of course I had to play along. Her challenge is to use Hearts and/or Flowers. So here's some flowers:

I so love the look of white embossing with watercolor. This image by Altenew is perfect for that technique. I had heard that Zigs really like pearlized paper. I had a pad that I forgot about, so I got it out and used it here. The Zigs worked wonderfully. The paper is very smooth and quite non-porous, so the Zigs blend with each other nicely. I also saw a  tip the other day that I had to try, and it's awesome. Adhere a sequin to your card, and then fill it with Glossy Accents. It makes kind of an enamel dot, but different, because the shininess of the sequin shows through. I LOVE the effect.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Dusty Rose Card Stock
Core'dinations Pearlized Paper Pad
Altenew Peony Scrolls
Stately Flowers 6 for Greeting
Spellbinders Fancy Labels 1
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
GKD White Embossing Powder
Stash Sequins and Glossy Accents
Stash Corner Punch

This card will be entered in:
Mod Squad Challenge - Use Hearts and/or Flowers
Scrappy Land - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. And don't forget to check out the Mod Squad Challenge Blog. They have more than one sponsor most weeks, and TONS of great prizes. You won't be sorry!!!!
