This week Vicki Dutcher and I are hosting the Mod Squad Challenge. Our challenge is RIBBON, RIBBON! WHO'S GOT THE RIBBON? We are asking players to us ribbon somewhere on their card. Easy, peasy, right?
One of our sponsors is the wonderful stamp company
Kitchen Sink Stamps offers us a discount CODE: ModSquad15.
These
stamps are amazing. Most have a multi-stamp feature that lets you get
great detail in your images using several colors. There is real
dimension with a 3-D effect! And one of the best features of this stamp
company is that there are color recipes for most of the multi-step
stamps, so you don't have to guess what colors to use. There are even
alternative colors if you don't have the inks that are suggested. Maria from Kitchen Sink Stamps is a member of our Mod Squad Challenge Facebook Group so feel free to say Hi or ask any questions.
THE PRIZE
A $25 GIFT CERTIFICATE to the store.
You can pick your own goodies and there are lots of choices!
Here's my card:
I have a lovely little die from Marianne Designs called Christmas Bauble. It's very detailed, and is gorgeous cut with metallic paper. Here I have cut it in gold and then backed it with some watercolored background paper I found in my stash. The Kitchen Sink Stamps are from the set called Build a Garland. Isn't that ribbon multi stamp gorgeous? There are four separate stamps used to create the dimension. I stamped the ribbon and then fussy cut it out and glued it to the bauble. I also used that same stamp set to create the pine bough behind the bauble. And then the final touch was to splatter it with gold watercolor. I love how this turned out.

Loving that gold laced ornament! The greenery peeking behind looks like it is hanging on your tree! The splatters on the background are a wonderful accent, I always love that look! This is a good Challenge, your ribbon and bow are glorious!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome card design and I love that ornament and gorgeous ribbon bow you added to it Great pine branches too! I am not sure if I can play as I have so much to do before Thanksgiving that I almost feel overwhelmed. Some things I will have to pass on I fear.
ReplyDeletePretty card - love the bow
ReplyDeleteI thought that bow was real until I read your post. The pine branches and splatters are the perfect touch for you gorgeous ornament. Beautiful my friend.
ReplyDeleteWait! That ribbon is a stamp? Wowzer, this is fantastically gorgeous! I know that the pine branches look real and I am familiar with that stamp, but that ribbon, really? Great card, and example for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteYou fooled me with THAT ribbon. Thought it was real! Goes to show you don't need a real one to make a card look so beautiful. Love it Judy.
