Mod Squad Challenge - Anything but Christmas

Dear Ones~
This week it's my turn to host the Mod Squad Challenge. It's the first challenge of the new year, and the first challenge using our new website with WordPress. We hope you like the new format.

Our sponsor for the first Wednesday of every month is

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

My challenge is to make anything but a Christmas card or project. I'm kinda thinking we are all tired of making Christmas cards. So this pretty much gives you carte blanche with whatever you want to make.

Here's my card:

Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card. I thought this beautiful rose stamp from the Frame and Flowers 2 set was perfect. This is a multi-step stamp set which was part of the GKD Flowers and Frames Kit. It's now available as just the stamp set. This set has companion dies.....love that. The frame is also part of the set and has it's companion die as well.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White, Black Onyx & Red Hot Card Stock
Gold Mirror Foil Card Stock
Paper Studio Embossing Folder (sorry, I don't know the name)
GKD Frame & Flowers 2 Stamp Set
GKD Dogwood and Butterfly Stamp Set for greeting
GKD Inks In:
*Red Hot
*Cherry Red
*Cranberry Tart
*Grass Green
*Fresh Asparagus
Spellbinders Flourish Die

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.

  4. Beautiful card and I am sure those who have lost a loved one will love this design. It is gorgeous and I love the wonderful colors of your card. And, a change of pace from Christmas is okay but to tell the truth, I won so many great Christmas stamps in the coffee hop that I am sort of still in the mood. LOL Great fodder for next year I am thinking.

  8. I love the design (and I feel guilty for not using my pretty frames yet from the kits). The flowers and leaves are amazing. After I finish straightening some supplies up, I hope to join you all when I can play, k? Love to you and so sorry you need a sympathy card ♥

  10. It's beautiful! I've sent more sympathy cards in the past year than I care to even admit ... but a beautiful creation hopefully shares our inner feelings of hoping to provide some bit of soothing to those who are in grief & sorrow. I'
