Double D - VINTAGE/SHABBY CHIC

Dear Ones~
This time the challenge over at Double D is VINTAGE/SHABBY CHIC. I absolutely LOVE this one, I'm so partial to the vintage look.  Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration.

And this is what I came up with:
One of my favorite techniques is to collage. There's something so satisfying about taking a bunch of images and just slapping them on a card. Having said that, it does take a bit of practice. It's all in the way you put the things together.

 The Ingredients:
 Recollections Rose Petal Card Stock
Pink Monarch Graphs, Maps & Words Patterned Paper
Stamperia Spring Botanic Patterned Paper
SU Stitched All Around Stamp for Greeting
Paper Studio Ephemera Pack
Tim Holtz Cello Tape
Stash Pink Pearls

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win these fabulous Tim Holtz products.  Also, don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created.

So, until next time dear readers, ASPIRE to be INSPIRED.
Here's celebrating your CREATIVE MUSE!!

  2. I agree, but there is a knack to putting collages together and you got that! When I read that sentiment, I could hear it being said by a famous actress from the 50's. I am sure that is what you were thinking, right?

  3. Beautiful design and so romantic! You created a gorgeous collage of vintage and shabby chic elements on this card. I can just hear that sentiment being said by perhaps, Audrey Hepburn or maybe Vivien Leigh. So lovely!

  6. I'm glad you clarified that "slapping on" comment, Judy, because not everyone can put together random, or not so random, papers to make a delightful card like this. I love the vintage look.

  9. Whenever I try collage it turns into a mess but, darling, your card is fabulous! You've got the technique down pat. It's such a beautifully cohesive blend it almost appears to be one unit, pre-designed, as if you just added a few pearls. So lovely!
