This week is TREND WEEK over at Just Us Girls, and I'm the host. The trend I picked is VELLUM.
It seems that vellum is all the rage right now. You can do so many
different things with this amazing paper, from coloring it, to die
cutting, to dry embossing and using it as a background, to heat embossing and making your image the focal point.
So our challenge is to use vellum somewhere on your card.
Here is my card:
I had some colored vellum in my stash, have had it forever. So I used my Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose stamp set, heat embossed with white powder and then die cut. I love the delicate look.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Heavyweight White Card Stock
Blue and Green Vellum from my Stash
GKD Garden Silhouettes Stamp Set
Heartfelt Creations Botanical Rose Stamp Set
GKD White Embossing Powder
Cheery Lynn Allison's Ribbons Die Set
Spellbinders A-2 Bracket Borders Die
Spellbinders Framed Tags Die
Stash Pearls
Please visit the JUST US GIRLS
blog to see the wonderful cards the rest of the team, and our May
Guest Designer, Aileen Ryan, have made this week. I hope to see you
there.
And remember, if you win Chic of the Week in any of our May challenges, you will be
in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of July.
Good luck, and thanks for stopping by!!
