This week over at Just Us Girls it's Word Week, and Sharyn is our host. She has chosen the word BUTTERFLY for our challenge. What fun....so many possibilities with this one.
And here's my card:
To do these butterflies I used the Kitchen Sink Stamp set 3-Step Butterfly, which is stamped using multiple layers for a dimensional effect. I colored each layer directly to the stamp with various Zigs, and then spritzed and stamped on watercolor paper. Each butterfly is in it's own square, which I matted with black and mounted on my card. The Circle Saying is from Simon Says Stamp.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and Ivory Card Stock
Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Stampin Up Vellum
Spellbinders Scalloped Circles Die
Kitchen Sink Stamps 3-Step Butterfly
Simon Says Stamp Circle Sayings
Zig Clean Color Brush Markers
GKD Black Embossing Powder for Greeting
Ivory Seashell Crystal Drops
Please visit the JUST US GIRLS

Love the dimension you get with that butterfly stamp set! Wow!! Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteStunning card! I adore your bright in-your-face colors!!
ReplyDeleteOh this is beautiful! LOVE those 'water color' butterflies, each one so pretty set off in it's own little space....gorgeous! I also adore the way you did the sentiment on Vellum, die cut it, and placed it smack dab in the center of the card! So CLEVER! This is so striking, you created glorious 'tiles'.....may have to CASE you!
ReplyDeleteWOW!! those are some gorgeous water color butterflies....just BEAUTIFYL!! Love how the all have their own little square.
ReplyDeleteI adore those butterflies. What gorgeous colors too. Adding the pearls looks great as well. Did you fussy cut them all out then or just make a shadow effect to make them look that way on each square?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, love these colourful butterflies, Cathy x
