Well, we are having some fun over at Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge this week. We have been invited to make a card using money on the front. Money Origami, as it were.
Here's what I came up with:
This is a fold that I have used before for my grandsons when I have given them a Valentine and included a little money. They love it, and that makes me smile. I learned this fold on YouTube, of course.
Here are the Ingredients:
PTI Ocean Tides Card Stock
GKD White and All Spruced Up Card Stock
PTI Harvest Berries Stamp & Die Set
Memento
One Dollar Bill and One Quarter
Paper Smooches Foliage 2 Die Cut
Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch
GKD Silve Embossing Powder
PTI Vellum
Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments! I'm heading to Lansing tomorrow to spend the weekend with our daughter and her family.
We are going to the East Lansing Art Festival...always fun!!!

I wanted to do money origami years ago (before YouTube) so never figured out how to do it. This looks great, Judy. I can see the kids loving it. I haven't been to the EL Art Festival in years. Sounds like fun.
ReplyDeleteThat is one fabulous fold. I know the boys enjoy it for many reasons! :) I love your colors on the card, they are perfectly beautiful! What an absolutely beautiful sentiment and I love it embossed on the Vellum strip. GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteOh and have a FABULOUS visit with Sarah and the boys! I can't believe that Festival is here again...seems like you were just there! :) Enjoy!!!
DeleteJudy, your card's a beauty without the money. The heart makes it over the top gorgeous! Love the added coin too! Have fun this weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card and a fun challenge. I am afraid I am not much of an origami type artist so doubt I could do very well at it, but I sure like what you did. I am sure the boys will like it even without money included.
ReplyDeleteLove this heart fold and your card. I think vellum is the new black. The embossed sentiment is beautiful with the pretty flowers. I need a card for my great niece( 8 years old )so I thought about doing this challenge. They are always doing something different.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful!! The origami heart with coin makes it even more beautiful and special. Have a wonderful week end with your family.
ReplyDeleteLove the addition of the quarter in the middle of your heart! Terrific card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning card! The folded money adds to the excitement. Have a great time!!
ReplyDeleteStunning design! I love the addition to the coin in the center!!
