Just Us Girls #391- Wild Card

Dear Ones~
This week is Wild Card Week over at Just Us Girls, and I am the host. Since it's the fifth Saturday of the month, I get to choose the topic for our challenge. I have chosen the technique PAPER PIECING.  For this technique a portion of an image is usually stamped on patterned paper, fussy cut, and adhered to the original image for a patterned look.

Here's my example:
Here I chose to stamp and fussy the dress on this image. I used the same patterned paper as the background. I colored her with Copics and used Stickles on the sun and Pearl Nuvo Crystal Drops for embellishment. The image is from the GKD Sunkissed Autumn Kit, and unfortunately it is retired.

Here are the Ingredients:
 Sunkissed Autumn Stamps
SU Island Indigo Card Stock
GKD White Card Stock
HOTP Pretty Little Posies Patterned Paper
Die-namics Delicate Doily Die
SU Balloon Pop Up Die for Ribbon
Copic Markers
Nuvo Crystal Drops

Please visit the JUST US GIRLS blog to see the wonderful cards that our April Guest Designer Laurie and the rest of the team have made this week. And remember, if you win Chic of the Week in any of our April challenges, you will be in the running to be chosen as our Guest Designer for the month of June!!   Good luck, and I hope to see you there.

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments!
They always make me smile!!

  13. I'd love a dress like you made for you girl, Judy. I know my way of paper piecing was different but it's the best I could do with the images I have.
