Double D - Black and White with a Pop of Color

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are doing Black and White with just a Pop of Color. This is one of my favorite looks, so I was really excited to see this Mood Board:

And here's my card:
I just LOVE lime green with black. I think it's stunning. That green is one of the new in colors over at Stampin' Up - Lemon Lime Twist. Here I have used a color by Gina K Designs called Jellybean Green. I think it really makes a statement. I just found a bunch of black and white patterned paper and did lots of layering. Then I die cut the butterfly in lime green and black and layered them together. I made the striped paper with a SU stamp called Diagonal Stripe.  For the final touch I die cut one of the shapes from PTI's Scribbled Circles die set and popped the greeting on top. I love how this came out.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and White Card Stock
GKD Jellybean Green Card Stock
Kaiser Craft Shine Bright Patterned Paper
SU Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp
SU Butterflies Thinlits
SU A Round Array Stamp for Greeting
PTI Scribbled Circles Die

Please come on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created.  There is always a wonderful prize up for grabs too, so check it out. Oh, and thanks for stopping by, your comments always make me smile.

Hugs,
~judy~

  7. Love how you mixed your papers on this card. The two layer butterfly is one of my favorite design elements and using the scribbles for the frame for the sentiment is genius. Great design.
