Can You Handle the Pressure - Birds

 Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure.   For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project.  Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:

BIRDS

 Here's my sample:

I had  lot of fun making this card. It's called a Faux Shutter Card or Fracture Card. I learned about it from this YouTube video HERE.  I thought it would be fun to dry emboss 4 different colors of pastel card stock with 4 different embossing folders. Since the papers were plain, I chose to use a gold patterned paper for the thin strips. That sweet dove is a new little die from Simon Says Stamp. It has several different pieces, but one die plate, so you can cut all the pieces at once. I like that.

I cut the pieces out of a cream color card stock and sponged each piece with Antique Linen Distress Ink.

  8. Oh, no you didn't! I'm in awe, agog, stunned silly! What a brilliant and gorgeous take on the shutter or fractured card design. I bookmarked the video, but you have made the ultimate card with this design. The dove is beautiful as well. I, too, like having all the pieces cut at once in a die like this. This card is simply incredible, Judy!
