This is my second post today....wow! I'm on a roll! This offering was made for the Stamp TV October Release Challenge. Gina has invited us to make a Christmas card using the wood grain background technique. I have chosen to use Gina's technique called Carved Wood. You can watch a video she posted showing how to do this technique HERE.
Here's my card:
I decided to go with a blue color palette this time. The Carved Wood Technique is so much fun and I plan on doing it more. And don't you just LOVE that happy snowman? This is one of my favorite GKD stamps from a past kit, Merry Little Christmas.

Okay, for the record, I kind of hate snow....BUT I love that snowman! He just looks like he is having 'snow' much FUN! Beautiful background--love it in the non-wood like colors! Beautiful texture, snowflakes and all of those Crystal Drops! WOW!!!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, card. Love the happy snowman. This technique is awesome and looks great with your snowman and snowflakes. I have a couple of panels made waiting to become a card and I want to try it using some Inca gold but when I reorganized I put it somewhere different and now I can't find it.
ReplyDeleteYa just gotta love that happy little snowman :) Beautiful background and great colors.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blue wood panel for your beautiful snowy card design.
ReplyDeleteI just bought this stamp set because of this snowman! Great card -- wonderful job on the background, and I love the die cut circle with the snowman in it! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure how I missed this one. That snowman is one that I was sorry that i did not purchase. Love the background with that embossing folder. This technique is going to be a favorite, I can see that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful background! What a great technique as a backdrop for your fun snowman. I love this card!
