It's WORD WEEK over at Just Us Girls, and our host Sharyn has chosen the word LEAVES.
Here's my Example:
Here I have used a lovely leaf stamp from the SU stamp set Thoughtful Branches. I sponged some of them, others I partial stamped with a couple of different colors. The background is a stamp by SU called Hardwood. I love that stamp, there are so many possibilities when you use different card stock colors with different ink.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Warm Cocoa and Sandy Beach Crd Stock
GKD Inks In:
*Prickly Pear
*Sweet Mango
*Fresh Asparagus
*Warm Cocoa
*Faded Brick
SU Hardwood Background Stamp
SU Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set
GKD Sunkissed Autumn Stamp for Greeting

ReplyDeleteStarting out with a wood background to put your colorful fall leaves on is so amazing. Love all of the texture and that awesome sentiment. Yes, it does take a long time, in some cases. In others, it seems to just fall right into a friendship. (Wink)
ReplyDeleteThose leaves are stunning, Judy, and the wood is a perfect background for them.
ReplyDeleteJudy this is a stunning card and the wood background is just perfect. That sentiment is just so true and I love that you gave it so much space to truly be the focal point. The clusters of leaves are the perfect way to frame it. Thank you so much for such a warm welcome, I really appreciate it :-)
