Power Poppy Power and Sparklette

Dear Ones~
Well, this week we move my dad to another facility where he can get more help. We are moving him on his 98th birthday, I guess it's time for him to have all the help he needs. The move will be easy because the facility is right next door to where he lives now, and he is happy to be going there. Lots of work, but so worth it. And he is doing well - I am blessed!!!

Now on to this card.
I created it with the Power and Sparklette Challenge in mind.

This week we are invited to "color outside the lines".  This is really a challenge for me.  I'm just that much of a perfectionist that I don't like the looks of messy coloring. I wet the whole area with clean clear water and then loaded my brush with watercolor and just dabbed away.
This is as messy as I can get.

Here are the Ingedients:
GKD Dark Chocolate & White Card Stock
PTI Canyon Clay Card Stock
Power Poppy Peony Love Digi Stamp
Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Sakura Koi Water Colors

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. 2 more days until the Autumnal Equinox. The seasons come and they go, but my love for paper forever remains. Know what I mean?????

  1. I wish you and Marilyn a smooth move for your Dad, I sent his card to her house! 98! What a blessing! Your card is beautiful, the background is gorgeous the colors are amazing! That wreath is stunning embossed and I adore that sentiment--me thinks that's how you live your life--I aspire to be you! xoxo

  2. Judy, I am SO GLAD that you tried this look. It’s really swooshy and splashy and vibrantly fun! And the image you chose for it works so perfectly... I have never seen the wreath of peonies done in these tones, and doing so makes them feel right at home in the fall. Brilliant!!

  4. We had to do this move with my Mom too. I am glad your dad is happy with the move because my mother was not and that made her end time more difficult. I loved that post by Marcella where she talked about coloring outside the lines. She made it sound like a good thing. Now for me it would be natural, but not artistic. Proud of you for jumping right in and out of your wheel house. Love the bright fall colors. Well done!
