Dear Ones~
This time over at The Mod Squad I am sitting in for Joyce Erb and hosting the challenge. My challenge is to create a BACKGROUND USING STAMPS.

SPONSOR

Tupelo Designs LLC
Melissa strives to bring the highest quality products to the craft industry (our dies are 100% steel – and our stamps are the best quality photopolymer, all made and packaged in the USA!). Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority and we work hard to bring our customers the top-notch quality, unparalleled customer service, and the utmost care in every single package that leaves our warehouse.

PRIZE

$25 to use at the Honey Bee Stamps store!

Here's my card:
This card was made with one of the stamp sets from the new Spring Product Release. There are many new stamp sets and dies in the release, so go check it out!! This set is called My Tribe, and it comes with companion dies. Several of the images were stamped randomly on white card stock, and then heat embossed with black embossing powder. They were then colored with watercolors, and enhanced with a gold gel pen. The greeting was white heat embossed on black card stock and the little feathers were attached with a decorative brad. The gold thread was adhered behind the greeting banner for a final embellishment.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White, Black and Tranquil Teal Card Stock
Honey Bee My Tribe Stamp Set
My Tribe Die Set
Hero Arts Liquid Water Colors
Kaiser Craft Gold Gel Pen

Here is another card I made with this stamp and die set:
For this card I stamped and die cut the image for the border, and then die cut the shape again with black and teal card stock. Then I layered them for a dimensional look. The embossed background is done with a SU Softly Falling embossing folder. The image was again colored with watercolors.

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.
Hugs~

Dies R Us - You Are Sweet

Dear Ones~
Today over at the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog I show how to make a card that could be used for many occasions.

Here's my card:
I recently watched THIS video where Kelly Latevola showed us how to do alcohol inking with gold foil details. I'm tellin' ya, this is a stunner. You MUST WATCH this if you use alcohol inks. The technique is so much fun and the results are amazing. I used a little panel of it here on this card.

Here is a close up of the panel. I wish you could see it in real life, this photo doesn't do it justice. It's really hard to photograph that gold foiling but it's there.

Hop on over to the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog to see how I made this card.

Here are the Ingredients:
SU Rich Razzleberry Card Stock
GKD White and Blue Lagoon Card Stock
Bazzill Gold Foil Card Stock
Sue Wilson Friendship Dies
Concord & 9th layering Leaves Die
Poppy Stamps Pierced Borders Die
Ranger Alcohol Inks
Stash Ribbon

Double D - Bling It Up

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are Blinging It Up. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

Whoa!!!! LOVE me some sparkle. Look at all this glitter!!!

Here is my card:
For that background panel I used some translucent embossing paste with a Tim Holtz stencil and then heat foiled it with my laminator when it was dry. The shoes are from an old GKD stamp set called Springtime Silhouettes. I heat embossed the shoes and the greeting in gold, layering over it 3 times to get a nice raised effect. I used lots of glitter paper for accents to enhance the bling. The die cut holding the greeting is a ribbon buckle from Spellbinders. What a fun challenge!!

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
Core'dinations Glitter Card Stock
Tim Holtz Mini Stencil Set 26
GKD Springtime Silhouettes Stamp Set
Dream Weaver Translucent Embossing Paste
GKD Foil Mates Gold Foil
SU Layering Circles Dies
Spellbinders Ribbon Buckles Die
Stash Gold Cord and Bling

I would love it if you would stop on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And if you play along you could win this beautiful bunch of BLING!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great week. Don't forget to swing by Double D and check us out.  Oh, and I so appreciate your lovely comments!!!

PRIZE

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store!!!!!

Here's what I came up with:
I used the new Gina K Designs Wreath Template for this card, and I must say it's TOTALLY addictive. I couldn't stop playing with it. I used several small stamps from different GKD stamp sets for this. And the charm I used is a cute little bee right in the middle. I used the new GKD Tranquil Teal card stock and ink, and I didn't have any ribbon that matched, so I dyed some seam binding with Tranquil Teal Ink. Messy, but worth it.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White, Warm Cocoa and Tranquil Teal Card Stock
GKD Wreath Builder Template
GKD Wreath Builder Stamp Set
GKD Holiday Frame Stamp Set
GKD A Beautiful Life Stamp Set
GKD Simple Hearts
GKD Blue Lagoon, Warm Cocoa, Kraft and Sea Glass Inks
Stash Charm
Stickles
Nuvo Crystal Drops
