Double D - Friendship

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are thinking about FRIENDSHIP! So many ways to express this wonderful subject!!

Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

 And here is my card:
I absolutely ADORE this image by Mo's Digital Pencil. It always makes me think of our daughter, Sarah. She wore her hair in piggy tails like that when she was little. And the sweet dog looks just like our beloved Libby who lives with us now. I had so much fun coloring this with my Prismas. The dog was a challenge - shading is a bugger with animals I think. I wish I could have gotten more contrast between the light and dark.
For a final touch I put little dots on "Sarah's" panties with a Signo Gel Pen. Adds a little pop to the look.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White, Turquoise Sea and Jelly Bean Card Stock
Mo's Digital Pencil Image "Buds"
Prismacolor Colored Pencils
Hot Off the Press Janie's Friends Stamp for Greeting
Hot Off the Press Heart Dazzles
White Signo Gel Pen

I would love it if you would stop on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And if you play along you could win this awesome die set!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great week. Don't forget to swing by Double D and check us out.  Oh, and I so appreciate your lovely comments!!!

Mod Squad Challenge - Simply Clean

Dear Ones~
This  time it's my turn to host the challenge over at The Mod Squad. I have chosen to do a CLEAN AND SIMPLE card for this challenge. Clean and simple means there is a LOT of blank space, typically white, but I suppose you could use any color. Other than the focal, there is nothing on the card, except a greeting if you want. No embellishments or extras of any kind.

SPONSOR

PRIZE

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store!!!!!

 Here is my card:

For this card I used a Gina K Designs stamp set by Theresa Momber called By the Sea 2 for the focal and the greeting. I stamped it on Gina K Designs 120# Heavy Base Weight White card stock and colored it with Distress Markers. I used the masking technique to make some of the grasses look like they were behind the Nautilus shell. Then I put the card together with some Gina K Designs Fresh Asparagus Card Stock for a mat.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
GKD Fresh Asparagus Card Stock
GKD By the Sea 2 Stamp Set
Distress Markers
Stickles for Sand

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.

Double D Twine

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are playing with Twine. How fun!!!! Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration.

And here is my card:
I love this little bird image by Stampin' Up called Best Birds. The set comes with companion dies, which I love as well.  I used several dies from the Penny Black Antique Frame die set, and I thought the twine added a nice touch. The bird is colored with Distress Markers and I sponged all the edges of the frames for more dimension.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Fired Brick, White and Warm Cocoa Card Stock
Penny Black Antique Frame Die Set
Stampin' Up Best Birds Stamp Set & Dies
GKD Geo Thanks for Greeting
Stash Twine Cord

I invite you to come on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And if you play along you could win this awesome prize!  A crafter can never have enough twine, right?!!
