Here's my card:
One of my dearest friends just lost her beautiful yellow lab. I know how she feels, we have lost many. I wanted to make her a card, and this is what I came up with. I embossed the three panels with three different embossing folders. The paper with the paw die was created with Nuvo Shimmer Powders. There's a lot of sparkle that you can't see in the photo.

The Ingredients:
Recollections Very Violet Card Stock
GKD White Card Stock
Strathmore Watercolor Paper
SU Stripes and Spatters Embossing Folder
SU Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder

SU Layered Circle Dies
SSS Tiny Words Stamp for Greeting
Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder
Top Dog Dies Banner #1 Die for Greeting

This is the sentiment on the inside, computer generated. I use it often, works for people or pets.

Double D - Lighthouse

 Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge up over at Double D, and this time it's LIGHTHOUSE. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:
And here's what I came up with:
I don't have a lot of beach-y ocean-y stuff. Probably because I live in Northern Michigan...lol. But this stamp set from Stampin' Up is just beautiful, and I'm so glad I got a chance to use it. There is a companion die set that's fabulous as well. For the background I took a piece of patterned paper that was a grid and stamped the compass image all over it. I love how it came out. Notice the knot I made with some twine? I learned how to do it from a video shared by one of my online bff's. Thanks Barb, you can watch it HERE.

A closeup of the knot. It's super easy and I think it looks fabulous!!

The Ingredients:
GKD Kraft, Navy and Ivory Card Stock
SU Sailing Home Stamp Set
SU Smooth Sailing Die Set
SU Under the Sea Framelits
My Mind's Eye Lush 2 - Navy Patterned Paper
GKD Night of Navy Ink
Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words Stamp for Greeting
