Color Hues - NAVY & CREAM

 Dear Ones~

It's been awhile since I was able to play along over at Color Hues, so I was glad I had a little time today to give it a go. This time they are inviting us to use NAVY and CREAM. What fabulous colors, so classy and elegant.

Here's what I came up with:

I have a pack of patterned papers that is all navy and cream. WHAT LUCK!!! I really had fun putting all these papers together. So many possibilities.

The Ingredients:
GKD Ivory Card Stock
My Mind's Eye Navy Patterned Papers
Sizzix Winter Garland Die Set by Pete Hughes
SU Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp for Greeting
Various Circle Punches
Trinity Stamps Baubles

So that's it for me today. I hope you have a good weekend. Stay well and stay safe! Or as Nora O'Donnell says, stay positive, test negative.

Until next time, here's celebrating your creative muse.

Double D - Flowers in Containers

 Dear Ones`

Here we are past the middle of January already. How do you like 2021 so far? 😏 At least Himself and I have received our first dose of the Covid Vaccine, and we are scheduled for the second dose on February 1st. I am so grateful for that.

Today's offering is for the next Double D Challenge, and that is FLOWERS IN CONTAINERS. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration.

And here is my card:

I really enjoyed coloring this image from Stampin' Up with my Karin Markers. They are so lovely and easy to use. Highly recommend. I broke out a couple of old die sets by Spellbinders for this. I haven't used them in forever. They are the Vleur de Lis Squares and the Marvelous Squares. Back in the day, when they first came out, they were all the rage because of their intricacy. Remember? Dies today are so much more intricate. The industry has come a long way.

The Ingredients:
GKD Ivory Card
Recollections Cream Card
Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Die
Spellbinders Marvelous Squares Die
Spellbinders Fancy Labels 1 Die
SU Ornate Floral EF
SU Jar of Flowers Stamp Set
SU Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp for Greeting
Karin Brush Marker Pro Markers
Trinity Stamps Bubble Blowout Baubles

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this adorable stamp set. I just love it!!  And don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created for your inspiration.

I'm so glad you stopped by, I adore your comments. They always make me smile. Please stay well and enjoy your crafting. Now head on over to Double D to see what's going on.

Mod Squad Challenge - Fly Away

 Dear Ones~

Happy New Year!!! 2021 could not come soon enough, right? Sadly, things have a long way to go before we are back to "normal", but there is hope on the horizon.

It's my turn once again to host over at The Mod Squad. This time we are FLYING AWAY. My challenge is to use an image with wings as your focal. It MUST be your focal, or your entry will be removed.

SPONSOR

Gina K. has been in the stamping industry since 1998 and started Gina K. Designs in 2007. As the business grew, Gina asked her husband Tom to leave his position as an attorney to join her in the business. Together they built StampTV, an online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, a social network for paper crafters and more! Since then they have created a new website called Gina K Designs. Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world. Gina’s goal is to continue to offer top quality signature products through her online store Gina K. Designs, along with informative and creative crafting videos. There is also a monthly card challenge, where you have 3 chances to win a $25 gift certificate. Visit that HERE.

PRIZE

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

Here is my sample:

I began with a card base of Black Onyx Card Stock. I cut a piece of White Card Stock and stamped it with GKD Embossing and Watermark Ink using the GKD Petite Flourish Background Stamp. It was then heat embossed with GKD Detail Gold Embossing Powder. The bee image is from the GKD Stamp Set Beautiful Bees, illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. It was die cut with the companion die. The greeting is also from that set. I used Stickles on the wings, Tim Holtz gold metalic card stock for layering, and some gold baubles from Trinity Stamps for an embellishment.

Glad you stopped by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge Blog and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.

I hope you all are well and staying away from others as much as possible. These are strange times, aren't we glad we have our craft to keep us sane?
