Double D - BIRTHDAY

Dear Ones~
Today over at Double D we are celebrating birthdays. And how opportune, as this is my birthday month!! It's Darlene's birthday month too, so thanks, Darlene, for choosing such a great topic. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
As you can see, I was inspired by the lower right photo. And since I have a stamp that almost matches that sign exactly, I had to use it. I had to think about how I was going to get the "sparkle" to be gold for awhile, and then I realized I could stamp the whole thing in black, mask off all the other words, and stamp again with Versamark. Then all I had to do was sprinkle on some gold embossing powder and heat. VoilĂ©, it WORKED!!! I love the black, white and gold, with just a touch of soft pink.
The Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx & White Card
Paper Studio Petals & Blooms PP
SU Doily Wishes Thinlit
CTMH Leave a Little Spark Stamp
IO3 Dogwood Stamp for Greeting
GKD Decorative Tag Die
SU Layering Squares Thinlits
GKD Black Amalgam Ink
SU Powder Pink Ink
GKD Platinum Embossing Powder
Judy Dots
Stash Punches for Flowers

Gina K Designs & Ink On 3 Collaboration

Image may contain: text

Hello, and welcome to the Gina K Designs and Ink On 3 Collaboration. These two fantastic companies have come together to showcase some of their wonderful products, and we are offering a BLOG HOP to help you see how fabulous these products are. There is a whole array of talented artists who have created projects for your inspiration.  You have probably come from the lovely Rema Deleeuw 's blog. Towards the end I will direct you to your next stop.

So, without further ado, Here are my creations for your approval. First up is Ink On 3, with this fabulous stamp set called

Bad and Boujee:

We are also showcasing a fabulous new Ink On 3 product called Liquid Pixie Dust. Oh man, is this stuff SPARKLY!!! Photos here do not do it justice!!

 Here is my card:
I began by taking a piece of Gina K Designs White card stock, and using the wonderful Gina K Designs White Glitz Glitter Gel with the Gina K Designs Rose Swirl Stencil I created that fabulous glitter background. I cut the panel of black and white patterned paper from the Ink On 3 free Snowflakes and Stripes Digi Paper Pack and mounted it onto a piece of gold glitter card stock. I stamped the diamonds and the greeting with Ink On 3 Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and then heat embossed them with Ink On 3 Gold Rush Fine Embossing Powder. Those luscious lips were stamped with Gina K Designs Red Velvet Ink and fussy cut. Then I cut the BOUJEE word with the companion die 4 times; once in glitter card stock and 3 times in Gina K Designs Black Onyx card stock, and I layered them. Finally I put the whole card together on a Gina K Designs Black Onyx card base and added some Liquid Pixie Dust to the diamonds for sparkle. They are sparkly, baby!!!!!

I had a terrible time photographing this card to get all the glitz and glitter. It really sparkles in real life. The camera does NOT pick up the shine as I would like.

Next we present Gina K Designs, with this wonderful stamp set called

I am also using a wonderful stencil from the Gina K Designs line called Water Droplets.

And here is my project:
For this sample I wanted to do something other than a card, so I made a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch shadow box. I  began with a piece of Gina K Designs Lemon Drop Card Stock and with Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion Ink I stamped all over with the sprig image from the Vibrant Blooms Stamp Set. Then I created the shadow box.  After the box was constructed, I cut a piece of Gina K Design White Card Stock to the size of the inner square of the shadow box and used the Water Droplets Stencil with the same Wild Dandelion Ink to create a background. I also stamped the greeting with Ink On 3 Blackout Hybrid Detail Ink. That piece was inserted onto the back shadow box. Next the flowers and leaves from the Vibrant Blooms stamp set were stamped onto white card stock, colored with Copic Markers, and then cut with the companion Vibrant Blooms Dies. I fussy cut down the individual petals of the flowers for more dimension, bent them to pop them up, and then they were placed strategically for a nice effect.  I used some stash ribbon and stash pearls  to complete the look.

Finally I brushed some Ink On 3 Liquid Pixie Dust on the flowers for some shimmer. Boy, I wish you could see that shine!!

So now it's your turn.  I hope you enjoy all the fabulous inspiration as you hop, and make sure to comment on each blog for a chance to win one of the $50.00 gift certificates offered by these two fabulous companies!  The hop will run until Sunday, July 7th. Each company is offering one certificate, and will post the winner on their blog on Monday, July 8th. The winners will be chosen randomly from all comments left on the design teams blogs.

Your next stop is the uber talented Hannah Schroepfer's blog. Her work is amazing!
Thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate your comments, they always make me smile.

For this card I used a Gina K Designs stamp set Elegant Asters and companion dies. I cut a piece of Lovely Lavender card stock and stamped all over with some of the images from the set using GKD Black Amalgam Ink. I also used Plum Punch Ink to stamp the splatters from the GKD stamp set Something Good by Lisa Hetrick. I colored the images with my Prismas, and then cut the piece into 3 panels and matted them with Plum Punch card stock. These panels were mounted onto a Lovely Lavender card base with fun foam to pop them up. The greeting is from the Cottage Garden stamp set, and it was heat embossed with GKD Silver Embossing Powder.
