Make the Cards Challenge - Guest Designer

Dear Ones~

I have been invited once again to be a Guest Designer over at Make the Cards Challenge. I am so honored.
This is a fun challenge blog that changes every week, and there is always something new or different to create.  Our challenge this week is a sketch, and here it is:

And here is my card:
I love this sketch, it lends itself so well to using different patterned papers, which is my "thing". For the background I stamped the purple card stock with a GKD background stamp called Petite Flourish in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder for a tone on tone look. That FABULOUS cone flower die set is from Honey Bee Stamps and is in VERY high demand. It keeps being sold out, so I was really happy to snag it. A little die cutting, a little shading with ink and sponge, and you have a gorgeous creation!!!

Here are the Ingredients:
Recollections Very Violet Card Stock
GKD White, Grass Green and Fresh Asparagus Card Stock
GKD Petite Flourish Background Stamp
GKD Clear Embossing Powder
Recollections Petite Floral Patterned Papers
Spellbinder Scalloped Circle die
Honey Bee Lovely Layers Coneflower Die Set
GKD Fresh Asparagus and Wild Lilac Ink
SU Meadow Die for Greeting
GKD Fanciful Tags Stamp for Greeting
GKD White Detail Embossing Powder for Greeting

You can enter your creation  HERE.
The Make the Cards Challenge winner will be the following week's Featured Creator.

 Dear Ones~

This time over at Double D it's FRUITS and VEGETABLES. How fun!!! Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration, just look at all those beautiful colors:

And now my card:
I wanted to do something more clean and simple this time, and I thought that this fig stamp from Stampin' Up would do the trick. That background die cut is a HUGE new die from Stampin' Up as well called Beautiful Leaves. I think it's gorgeous!!! I colored the focal with my new Caran D'ache Luminance colored pencils. They were a birthday gift - I am in heaven. They are so much nicer than Prismacolors.

Dear Ones~

Welcome to the FABULOUS

Our Double D Challenge Blog has been invited to participate in a HUGE blog hop and there are so many wonderful Challenge Blogs participating. We are in very elite and creative company! Here they are:
The purpose of this hop is to bring an awareness of all the CHALLENGE BLOGS out there.  It's wonderful to have all the information in one spot. It is my great good pleasure, along with my Double D Teamies, to be able to share my creations using fabulous Altenew products with you. Here is what I have come up with:
Altenew is famous for their wonderful layered floral dies and I really enjoyed using this Craft-a-Flower Tulip die set. I don't have any Altenew card stock, so I took some white and colored it with Altenew Inks. I just smeared the ink cube all over the paper. Worked pretty well. The pattern behind the circle is a really fun multi layering stamp set by Altenew called Pattern Power. There are several different patterns in this set, and when stamped multiple times in different positions with different colors of ink they give a unique 3D effect. The greeting was stamped with Espresso Ink and fussy cut.

The Ingredients:
Kraft and White Card Stock
Altenew Inks In: Sand Dunes, Rocky Shore, Mocha, Espresso, Sweet Leaf, Hunter Green, Blush, Coral Bliss, Rouge
Altenew Craft-a-Flower Tulip Die Set
Altenew Pattern Power Stamp Set
Altenew Golden Feather Stamp Set for Greeting
 Spellbinders Classic Circle Die

Here is another card I did as well:

This one is really classic Altenew. They are well known for their beautiful floral illustrations which lend themselves very well to coloring, so I thought I would do this simple card. I just stamped the several floral images on Bristol, using masking to layer the flowers and leaves. Then I colored the resulting image with Zigs.

The Ingredients:
 White Bristol Card Stock
Altenew Wallpaper Art Stamp Set
Altenew Build-a-Flower Anemone Stamp Set for Greeting
Stash Striped Patterned Paper
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens
Altenew Jet Black Dye Ink

Mod Squad Challenge - Thank You Month

PLEASE NOTE: if you have been following me by email, you will have to sign up again because Feedburner is now obsolete. The sign up is to the right, just plug in your email and you will get notified whenever I publish a new post. Thanks!!!

Dear Ones~

This time over at Mod Squad we are celebrating Thank You Month. We are creating a thank you card and then sending it to the sponsor who is supporting the challenge. My sponsor is Gina from Gina K Designs, so the thank you cards must be sent to her.

 SPONSOR

                                             SHOP GINA K DESIGNS

Gina K. has been in the stamping industry since 1998 and started Gina K. Designs in 2007. As the business grew, Gina asked her husband Tom to leave his position as an attorney to join her in the business. Together they built StampTV, an online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, a social network for paper crafters and more! Since then they have created a new website called Gina K Designs. Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world. Gina’s goal is to continue to offer top quality signature products through her online store Gina K. Designs, along with informative and creative crafting videos. There is also a monthly card challenge, where you have 3 chances to win a $25 gift certificate. Visit that HERE.

PRIZE

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

Here's my card:
For this card I decided to do something with a rainbow colorway because Gina really loves rainbows. I began by using the Large Wreath Builder Template (which is a bonus included in the new Eclectic Fun Card Kit), and with GKD Obsidian Amalgam Ink on some GKD White Heavy Base Weight Card Stock I stamped several images from the GKD Mandala Maker 2 Stamp set, part of the new Eclectic Fun Card Kit as well. Then I colored the images with my Prismacolor Pencils. The greeting is from the It's All You Incentive Stamp Set, free with a $75 order this month. I stamped it in GKD Obsidian Amalgam Ink and die cut it with the Master Layouts 7 stitched circle die and then cut another circle in GKD Black Onyx Card Stock with the plain circle die from the same die set. The card base was cut from some GKD Black Onyx Card Stock. I added some black gems from Trinity Stamps as a final touch of bling.

Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy your comments. And don't forget to swing on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize.

Until next time, here's celebrating
your Creative Muse.
Hugs,
~judy

 Dear Ones~

This time over at Double D our theme is Mason Jars. How adorable, I just LOVE them. They are good for so many things, from holding flowers to pebbles I have found on the beach. Here is the Mood Board if you need some inspiration:

And here is my card:

I have been in love with the little mini slimline cards lately. They are so fun to do and always make the recipient smile. Here I stamped a couple of Stampin' Up images onto some Bristol and then colored the image in with my Zigs. LOVE how the Zigs behave on Bristol. I stamped the greeting from another Stampin' Up stamp set and then fussy cut around the letters.
I think it looks Mason Jar-y, don't you??

Strathmore Bristol Card Stock
SU Jar of Flowers Stamp Set
SU Jar of Love Stamp Set for Greeting
