Can You Handle the Pressure - POPPIES

Dear Ones~

  There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure.   For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project.  Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design.  Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.

 Here is my sample:

I LOVE to paper piece, it's like putting together a puzzle. This card was so easy to do, and I really enjoyed the process. The circle behind the poppy is embossed with a cute folder by Stampin' Up and that circle die is to die for.

Double D - SUNFLOWERS

 Dear Ones~

Do you like Sunflowers? Then you are in luck, because that's what this challenge is all about - SUNFLOWERS!!! Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

This is what I came up with:

This is more of a fall card, but I love the background patterned paper and it seemed appropriate. The die cut flowers are done with a die set called "Sunflower Dies". They are by a company called "Made in China"......HAHAHA!!! That's all I know about that. The greeting is one from an old Stampin' Up set called Feel Goods. It's long since retired, but I love it and use the set often.

  This is what I created:

I adore this old stamp set by W Plus 9 called Happy Birds. They just make me smile, aren't they cute? The blue and gold "stripes" are from an intuitive watercolor panel I had done. I decided to cut the panel up and use it for stripes. And the background is an embossed stripe panel using a Stampin' Up 3D embossing folder called corrugated.

Double D - ALTENEW Collaboration - Anything Goes/Stencils

 Dear Ones~

There's something exciting going on over at Double D. We are honored to have been invited by ALTENEW to collaborate with them on a fun challenge. Our challenge is ANYTHING GOES, and using stencils is OPTIONAL. Here is the Mood Board for our Double D Challenge inspiration:

 

Here is my card:

Altenew has some FABULOUS bundle sets which they call Build-a-Garden. These bundles come with a stamp set AND a stencil set which is very detailed with many panels. The one here is called Magnificent Branch. It is a HUGE stamp, large enough to cut apart to make 2 cards. Below you will see a couple cards I made with just part of the image.  Altenew also offers dies to go along with the stamp image as a separate item.  For this card I stamped my own background on a white panel with an Altenew stamp set called Wildflower Doodles. I used Altenew inks in Sand Dunes and Espresso. Then I sponged the edges for a distressed look. After I stenciled in the colors on the image I used my Prismacolor Pencils to enhance the flowers.
