Gina K Designs Design Team Inspiration Hop April 2014 Day 3

Good morning, and welcome to the final day of the Inspirational Hop for the April Stamp Release.

The Cast and Crew for Gina K Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop! Gina, along with the Cast, Crew, and Guest Designers, will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them, because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of Gina K. Designs products! To see the full list of winners check the BigNews Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

Our final 2 stamp sets from the April Release are just gorgeous. The Fleur di lis set is illustrated by the very talented Beth Silaika, and then we have the Golf Diva, illustrated by the extremely creative Debbie Corbari. Both sets are so much fun to play with.

Here they are:

My first card for you today is from the Fleur di lis set:

The fleur di lis were stamped on patterned paper from the Colorbok Neutrals Patterned Paper Pack, then circle punched and layered on GKD Dark Chocolate Card Stock. I used GKD Soft Sand Card Stock for the card base and layered the patterned papers from Colorbok Neutrals with GKD Dark Chocolate. I love the masculine look of this card.

My next Fleur di lis card is very feminine:

Here I used patterned paper from a stack by K & Company called Julianne. It was a gift from my dear friend Donna. The card base is GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, and I used GKD Dark Chocolate for layering. I stamped the fleur di lis on ivory card stock with Warm Cocoa ink, then cut it out with the Spellbinders Fleur de Lis die. Other dies used are Spellbinders Ribbon Buckle, and Our Daily Bread Beautiful Borders.

Next I have 2 cards for you from the Golf Diva set.

With this little gal I used GKD Innocent Pink Card Stock for the base. The green is from my stash. Patterned papers are from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. I stamped her on GKD White Card Stock and colored her with my Copics. Then I cut her out with an oval die and layered it on a Lacey Oval die cut. I used Judy Dots for embellishment and the ball is a little dot of Enamel Accents.

And here is my final card for the April Release Blog Hop:

This little diva likes rustic golfing. I stamped her on GKD Ivory Card Stock, colored her with my Copics using the colorless marker for the polka dots on her shirt, and then fussy cut her out. I used a leaf stamp from Ruba Shevde's Flowers Bloom stamp set to stamp on a rectangle with GKD Fresh Asparagus ink, sponged a little sky on there with Memento Summer Sky ink, and layered it on the background patterned paper from the Pebbles Lakeside stack. The "green" is embossed with an embossing folder from Paper Studio, don't know the name. Everything is layered on a base of GKD Sandy Beach Card Stock, and then embellished with Judy Dots. The ball is a little dot of Enamel Accents.

Gina K Designs Design Team Inspiration Hop April 2014 Day 2

Good morning, and welcome to day 2 of the Gina K Designs Inspirational Hop for the April Stamp Release.

To see the full list of winners check the BigNews Forum at StampTV a few days after the hops.

Today we have 2 wonderful stamp sets for you. Out West 2, illustrated by the super talented Theresa Momber, and Flowers Bloom, illustrated by the wonderfully creative Rupa Shevde.

Just look at these beautiful stamp sets!!!

I have 2 cards for you from Theresa's Out West 2 set. Here's the first one:

I had so much fun coloring this cowboy with my Copics on GKD Pure Luxury White Card Stock, and cutting him out with the Die-namics Stitched Circle die. I used a GKD Dark Chocolate Pure Luxury Card Stock base, then layered it with GKD Red Hot Card Stock, and GKD Kraft Card Stock that was embossed with a Darice Crackle Embossing Folder. A little hemp cord to look like rope and some brass embellishments, and I had a card that I loved.

Here's my second card from that set:

With this card, first I cut a circle with my Die-namics Stitched Circle die. I stamped the cactus image, masked it, and then stamped the foliage with one of the stamps from Rupa's Flowers Bloom stamp set. Then, leaving the mask on the cactus,  I began in the middle, sponging GKD Sweet Corn Ink in a circular motion. Next I added Sweet Mango ink, expanding the circle, and finally I sponged Faded Brick on the outside edge. After I was done sponging, I colored the cactus with my Copics. I love how it turned out. I stamped the road runner from the Out West 2 set, fussy cut him out, and adhered him to the bottom of the circle. The whole thing was mounted on the GKD Pure Luxury White card stock which was embossed with a Darice folder. Then I just adhered it to Black Onyx, and then a white card base. I embellished with Judy Dots and a few leaves punched with a Martha Stewart punch out of Fresh Asparagus Card Stock.

Now for Rupa's wonderful stamp set, Flowers Bloom. I love all the vases and floral elements in this set. So many possibilities with this one. Here is my first card:

Here I stamped the vase and then the sprig on GKD white card stock with Moonlit Fog ink, and colored it with my Copics. Then it was just a matter of layering all the various patterned papers together. I used GKD Moonlit Fog, Red Hot, and Black Onyx Card Stock, and patterned papers are from the GKD Poppy Prints collection. The greeting is also from Flowers Bloom, and I stamped that with Moonlit Fog as well. I added some Judy Dots and red Stickles for embellishments.

Here's my last card:

This card was a blast. I took some watercolor paper, got it really wet, and then swiped an acrylic block over it that has been inked up with GKD ink. I used Bubblegum Pink and then Faded Brick. Had to do it over a few times until I got the effect I wanted. Then I cut the watercolor paper into a circle and stamped the flower images with GKD Black Ink. I added dots of Enamel Accents by Ranger to pop up the image a bit. Papers are GKD Black Onyx and Ivory. Patterned Papers are from the DCWV Haute Pink stack. A little ribbon from my stash, and of course some Judy Dots.

Gina K Design Team Inspiration Hop April 2014 Day 1

Good Morning! Today is the first day of the Gina K Designs Inspiration Hop for the April 2014 Release over at StampTV.

I am BEYOND flattered and absolutely thrilled to be a Guest Designer for the month of April.  It's SUCH an honor for me!  Thank you so much, Gina and Crew!  Special thanks to Lee for holding my hand and walking me through this, and to my fellow Guest Designers Karen Hightower and Nancy Leppek. We have had a great time carrying out our duties!!

The stamp set we have for you today is Lots of Letters 2, illustrated by the very talented Melanie Muenchinger. Here is her wonderful set:

Just take a look at all those wonderful shapes in this set! Love the flowers and borders!!! I had so much fun making some cards for you.

First up is this card:

For this card I stamped and heat embossed the image with white powder on vellum, and colored the flower centers on the back side with Copics. Then I just adhered a strip of polka dot paper from Recollections Bold Basics to the GKD Pure Luxury White card base, and attached the vellum overlay with white brads. Oh, and I added a butterfly in vellum as well.

Here's my second card:

This card is definitely more masculine. Papers are GKD Pure Luxury Kraft, In the Navy, and Turquoise Sea. I stamped the banner border with GKD Inks In the Navy and Turquoise Sea, cut them out, and layered them along the bottom of the card. Background is embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. The little flower is stamped with In the Navy and fussy cut. Sentiment is from the new Out West 2 stamp set by Theresa Momber.

And finally, this card:

I decided I wanted to do some kind of pattern with those cute flower stamps, and I came up with this design. I stamped them with Bubblegum Pink, Powder Blue, Sweet Mango, Sweet Corn and Powder Blue GKD inks. The little yellow dots are actually the golf ball stamp  from Debbie Corbari's new stamp set called Golf Diva. Then I decided to cut the paper in two and re-adhere it with that sentiment in between, stamped on the Innocent Pink underneath. The sentiment is from the Out West 2 set. Card base is GKD Pure Luxury White.

Easter Cross

Dear Ones~
Well, it's been an interesting week. I have not posted in 7 or 8 days. Last week we had our wonderful grandsons with us for 5 days. It was fun, and very tiring. We are old. Then last night I tried to post this card to my blog, and discovered that, because I had changed my log-in data for Google, I could no longer do any entries on it. So, what you are reading now is a brand new blog. Please take the time to plug in your email address again so you will receive notices when I add something, and also click on the JOIN THIS SITE button so that you can follow in that way. What a pain in the neck this has been. Take my advice - don't change ANYTHING unless you know what you are doing.

But enough about THAT! The card I'm sharing today is for the MUIM Challenge over at StampTV. My dear friend Karen Hightower is hosting this week, and it's a dandy. The only requirement is to use something metal. If you get a chance, click on Karen's name and it will take you over to her page. She is one of three of us who were awarded the Guest Designer spot at StampTV, and she is super talented. I'm very lucky to be working with her on the Guest Designer Team.

Here's my card:
The metal I used is a little charm that says "love" hanging off the bow. This is an Easter card that I will send to my folks. I colored the flowers with my Copics.

Here are the supplies I used:
Gina K Designs Pure Luxury White Card Stock.
Other Card Stock and Patterned Paper from my stash
Gina K Designs Floral Wreath Stamp Set
Spellbinders Fancy Cross Die
Judy's Enamel Dots
Copic Markers

Thanks for stopping by. I'm hoping that I will NOT have any trouble with THIS blog. Oh, and think spring my friends.
