Apples

Dear Ones~
I am starting to think about packing the fifth wheel to go up to Lake Superior. Looks like we will leave early next week. I'm anxious to get up there, but I need to visit my folks in Midland on Monday.
Today's card was made for the Monday Challenge over at StampTV. Sean has asked us to make a fall card. WHAT???? SERIOUSLY, Sean??? It can't be time for fall already. But it truly is.....geesh.

Here's my card:
I just got the Gina K Designs Fabulous Frames Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger, and I absolutely LOVE IT!!! So many possibilities with this one.

Here are the materials I used:
GKD Honey Mustard Card Stock
GKD Grateful Heart Patterned Paper
GKD Fabulous Frames by Melanie Muenchinger
GKD Harvest Memories Stamp Set
GKD Sun Kissed Autumn Stamp Set
Copic Markers
Glossy Accents
Judy Dots

That's it for me today. Hope I can get a little more time in my craft room before we leave for up north. I WILL have withdrawal for sure!!! However, I do have other things that I can do to be creative while we are up there. Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments!!!

For Dad

Dear Ones~
Once again, it's been awhile since I posted anything. My life has been so crazy this summer. But I guess everyone can say that. And we are getting ready to go up to the UP to camp on Lake Superior for a few weeks, so there's that. We have a small fifth wheel that we take up there to do some fall camping. I'm looking forward to it, but I fear it's gonna be a tad on the cool side this year. I'll let ya know.

Today's card was made for my dad, who will turn 96 in a few weeks. The challenge over at Mod Squad this week is to do a masculine birthday card. Well howdy, and SHAZAAM!!! What a serendipity!

Here's my card:
I just LOVE this pine cone image from the GKD Stately Flowers 6 stamp set.

Here are the materials I used:
GKD Navy, White and Kraft Card Stock
GKD Stately Flowers 6 Stamp Set
Copic Markers
Stickles

That's it for me today. I adore your comments! Thanks for leaving me some love, and thanks for stopping by.

Choose to Shine

Dear Ones~
Happy Thursday, and Friday can't be far behind. I'm looking forward to the weekend with friends.

Today's card was created for the Mod Squad Challenge. This week we are paper piecing. One of my favorite techniques.

Here's my card:
Boy, I wish I had a dress like this. Or rather, I wish I would look good in a dress like this!!! Ha ha!! This beauty has a paper pieced gown full of sparkle. There's lots of glitter in the background paper too, just doesn't show up very well in the pic. And don't ya love her wings??? They are gold embossed on vellum.

Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs Edible Eggplant and Ivory Card Stock
DCWV Stardust Paper Stack
Vellum
Hot off the Press Paper Dolls Stamp Set
MFT Die-namics Delicate Doilies Die Set
Copic Markers
Stickles

Well, that's it for me today. Hope I can post something again soon. I miss sharing with all of you. So love your sweet comments, thanks for stopping by my friends!

Cool Blues

Dear Ones~
It has been quite some time since I have done a post. So glad to get back into my inner sanctum and create again. How come summers are so busy? It's supposed to be a time to relax and chill - right?

Today's card was made for the Mod Squad Challenge. The Lovely Lee challenged us to use blue and brown on our card, with one other neutral color.

Here's my card:
I decided to use navy and kraft for my blue and brown colors, and ivory for the other neutral color. I stamped the flowers with GKD Navy ink, and then lightly colored them with Copics.

Here are the materials I used:
Gina K Designs In the Navy Card Stock
Gina K Designs Ivory Card Stock
Gina K Designs Kraft Card Stock
Gina K Designs A Year of Flowers Stamp Set
Gina K Designs Spring Basket Stamp Set
Authentique Something for all Seasons Patterned Paper
Copic Markers
Stickles

Thanks for stopping by, I love to read your sweet comments. Appreciate you all so much! Have a wonderful week my friends.
