Color Hues - Navy and Turquoise

Color Hues

Dear Ones~

Today's offering is for the Color Hues Challenge. This time we are using NAVY and TURQUOISE. What a cool color combination. I love it.

Here's my card:

For this card I used the technique Gina K used a little while ago. I will link her video HERE. I took a couple of fronds from a fern, coated them in Versamark and stamped them on the navy card stock. Then I heat embossed them with the Ranger Antiquities Embossing Powder in turquoise. It's gorgeous IRL - there's specks of gold in it.
Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Navy and Ivory Card Stock
Hot Off the Press Twilight Jewels Patterned Paper
Tim Holtz Metallic Card Stock
Spellbinders Fancy Labels 3 Die
GKD Thankful Greetery for Greeting
GKD Master Layouts 2 for Banner
Stash Gold Thread and Gold Pearls

Cold and rainy here in Northern Michigan today. A great day for some chili and cornbread, and to hang out in my craft room. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget to swing on over to the Color Hues blog. Lotsa great inspiration there!!

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse,

Double D - Don't Fence Me In

 Dear Ones~

This time over at Double D we are on the fence. The theme is DON'T FENCE ME IN, and here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:

I got my inspiration from the photo in the top left corner - that beautiful white gate. I used a Stampin' Up die for this, and I thought it would be fun to do a spooky kind of card. I did the masking technique with Distress Oxides to create that moon. I wanted to leave a white ring around it for effect.  I kind of like how it turned out.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and White Card Stock
Distress Oxides in Various Colors
SU Garden Gateways Dies
SU Under the Sea Framelits Dies
A Colorful Life Cloud Stencil
Sizzix Die for Greeting
Stash Bat Punch

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this adorable Wooden Gate and Fence Die by Creative Expressions. And don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created for your inspiration.
I'm so glad you stopped by, I adore your comments. They always make me smile. Please stay well and enjoy your crafting. Now head on over to Double D to see what's going on.

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.

Ink On 3 - Silhouette Your Stamp

Dear Ones~
It is my honor once again to be guest designing for a fabulous company named Ink On 3. This is a wonderful company that offers inks, stamps, dies, stencils, even svg files, and more. Swing on over and check them out. You won't be sorry.

Today I want you to use your stamps in a different way. Did you know you can make them into a silhouette? Here's my card:

To begin, I made an interesting background by masking off a piece of card stock and sponging various inks using a piece of plastic so that I could get a defining edge. Here I used Ink On 3 Peacock Blue, Marilyn Red and My Jam Purple.

Here is how it looks when completed.

Next I stamped the Koi fish from the Koi Pond stamp set onto my sponged background using my MISTI.

Then I colored the fish in with my black Copic Marker. And voile, a silhouette.

For a final touch, I added some embellishments with black and white markers. Then I stamped the Hugs greeting with a stamp from the Fox and Bunny Hugs stamp set. I also attached a few gems from Trinity Stamps called Bubble Blower.

I would invite you to hop on over to the Ink On 3 website and take a look at all the wonderful products offered there. And thanks for stopping by. As always, I adore your comments.

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse!!!💗
