STV Release Party Challenge - Grateful Heart

Dear Ones~
Today I have for you a card that I am entering in the Stamp TV Release Party Challenge. The challenge is to create a thank you card with an autumn feel.

Here is my card:
I have been loving the Wreath Builder template that Gina created and carries in her store, so I decided to use it here. I just stamped a few little images using the template in autumn colors, and I think it does the trick. I punched 3 leaves from a piece of Prickly Pear and sponged with some Faded Brick for the little embellishment under the linen thread. The corner punch is an old Fiskars one. Not sure if it's even still available.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Fresh Asparagus, Faded Brick and Ivory Card Stock
GKD Faded Brick, Fresh Asparagus and Dark Chocolate Inks
GKD Wreath Builder Stamp Set and Template
GKD Triple Play Holiday Stamp Set (Maple Leaf)
MFT Stitched Circles Die
SU Layering Circles Dies
Fiskars Corner Punch
Marvy Oakleaf Punch
Stash Gems

This is a quick one today. It's been raining for the last two days, but we really need it. Things were getting really dry. Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments. They make me happy!

Hugs,
~judy~

Double D - Tea & Coffee

Dear Ones~
This time over at the Double D Challenge Blog we are enjoying TEA & COFFEE. Mmmm.....think I'll have a cup!

Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
I have had this cute little stacked tea cup die forever and never really got around to using it. So happy this Mood Board came up to rectify that. I decided to do some inlay here, one of my favorite techniques. So I cut the image with white card stock and then cut it again using 3 other patterned papers. Then I went about inserting all those tiny bits where they belong. The white background panel is from Stampin' Up and it's called Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder. I just love it!!!

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
SU Soft Sky Card Stock
SU Tufted Dynamic Embossing Folder
Sue Wilson Olivia Die
DCWV Pocket Blossoms Patterned Papers
Poppystamps Teacup Stack
SU Very Vintage for Greeting
GKD Gold Embossing Powder

I would love it if you would stop on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And if you play along you could win this ADORABLE stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great week. Don't forget to swing by Double D and check us out.  Oh, and I so appreciate your lovely comments!!!

Stamp TV - Bleach Time

Dear Ones~
Today I have a card for you that I am entering into the Stamp TV and Gina K Designs Release Party Challenge, to use bleach on our image.

Here is my card:
This is one of my favorite techniques. By painting bleach on your image you totally change the color. It's so much fun to see what color emerges when the bleach dries. With this technique you need to use embossing powder on the line art. If you don't, the bleach will take away the lines of ink. For the background I used Tranquil Teal and Kraft inks and stamped the Diagonal Stripe Background twice and at right angles to create the plaid.

Here's something cool. I found out that if you put little dots of glue that dries sticky on your image and let it dry it's still tacky. Then just rub transfer foil over the dots and voila, you have beautiful foiled embellishments. TRY IT!!! It's so stinkin' cool!!!

 The Ingredients:
GKD Tranquil Teal & Kraft Card
PTI Rustic Cream Card
GKD Diagonal Stripe Stamp
GKD Geo Thanks Stamp
GKD Rose Bouquet Stamp for Greeting
Spellbinders Beautiful Borders Die

So that's it for me. We have had the Princes with us for a few days and will return them to their mother on Wednesday. They are having so much fun swimming in the lake, learning to fly fish and canoeing. I will be sad to see them go.

Thanks so much for your lovely comments, they mean the world to me. Enjoy your week.

Hugs,

Dear Ones~
This week it's my turn to host over at The Mod Squad. The challenge is to
use the Thumping Technique on your project

Recently, members of The Gina K Designs Friends Group over on Facebook asked Gina to share the very first video she ever made. You can view it HERE. She showed us how to do the Thumping Technique, so I thought it would be fun to make that our challenge.

Double D - Nautical

Dear Ones~ Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are going NAUTICAL. Just look at this awesome Mood Board provided for our inspiration!

So here's my card:

I had so much fun making this card. I recently acquired a new die set from Stampin' Up called Under the Sea Framelits. It includes that awesome fishnet die along with the coral and sand dollars. I also am in possession of some really crazy and cool new embossing powders by Seth Apter called Baked Texture. You can watch a video showing these powders HERE. The sand dollars have been heat embossed with the Dirty Sand powder and the fishnet and corals are also embossed with various other powders. I stamped the GKD sailboat on the background patterned paper and then stamped again on Watermelon Wonder and Warm Cocoa card stock, then fussy cut and adhered to the stamped image for dimension.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Warm Cocoa and Ivory Card
GKD Ocean Mist Card
SU Watermelon Wonder Card
Paper Studio Beach House Patterned Paper
GKD By the Sea 2 Stamp
SU Under the Sea Framelits
SU Very Vintage Stamp for Greeting
SU Crumb Cake Ink
Seth Apter Baked Texture Embossing Powder
