Double D - Gingham

Dear Ones~
Happy Wednesday!!! I can't believe we are over halfway through March. But I'll take it, I'm ready for spring!! This time over at Double D we are playing with Gingham. How FUN! And such a cheery, refreshing theme. Here is our Mood Board for inspiration. Just look at all the bright, bold color here:

And here is my card:
This is a new set from Stampin' Up called Sweetest Thing, and it comes with companion dies. I think it's just so cute, it makes me smile. I stamped and die cut the jars and then stamped the "candy" inside. Then I colored them with markers. You can't see it really well, but there is a die cut doily underneath the jars. I tried to make it look like an old time candy store. I finished up by applying some iridescent sequins and filling them with Diamond Stickles.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White and Black Onyx Card
Recollections Petite Floral Paper
Pebbles Basics Gingham Paper
SU Doily Builder Thinlit
Spellbinders Scalloped Circle Dies
GKD Black Amalgam Ink
SU Sweetest Thing Stamps
SU Jar of Sweets Thinlits

You should really head on over to the Double D Challenge and check out what the other designers have done with this Mood Board. And if you play along you could win this awesome paper pack. So stinkin' CUTE!!!!

I so appreciate your stopping by and leaving your lovely comments. They make my day. Don't forget to go over to the Double D Challenge, and I'll see you next time!!!

Mod Squad - Green, Green Everywhere

Dear Ones~
Welcome to my blog. It's my turn to host over at The Mod Squad. The challenge this week is to make a project that uses only the color green It’s March, and time for St. Paddy’s Day once again. In honor of this celebration your creation must use ONLY the color green. If absolutely necessary you may use black, white, or any neutral as an accent, but the main color on your card MUST BE GREEN. If you use any other colors AT ALL besides these on your creation, it will be eliminated so as not to skew the numbers for the random drawing.

Here's my card:
I used many Gina K Designs products on this card. The background panel was inked with Distress Oxides and then stenciled with GKD Water Droplets Stencil with Grass Green and Christmas Pine Ink. Then the frame was stamped on Jellybean Green Card Stock with the Fabulous Frame stamp using Christmas Pine Ink. The Fabulous Frame was also stamped on the stenciled piece and then fussy cut to fit on the stamped image on Jellybean Green. Side interest was stamped with a Fabulous Frame Fillers stamp, and the greeting is from the Tropical Blooms Bundle, using the companion die to cut it out. Butterfly and leaf spray embellishments are from the Birthday Blessings stamp set, using companion dies to cut the images out.

Glad you stopped by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments!
