Double D - Wedding

Dear Ones~
Time for a new challenge over at Double D, and since it's June, we are celebrating WEDDINGS.
Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
I thought it would be fun to do a vellum overlay so that the dancing couple would have an ethereal look. The greeting was stamped on the vellum and it was attached to the image panel, which was stamped and heat embossed with black embossing powder. The patterned paper is really a GKD background stamp called Rose Lace. I love it.

The Ingredients:
GKD Black Onyx and White Card Stock
GKD Rose Lace Background Stamp
GKD Always and Forever Stamp
GKD Black Detail Embossing Powder
SU Floral Essence Stamp for greeting
SU Vellum
Studio Katia Arctic Breeze Pearls
Stash Ribbon

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this Sue Wilson Mini Expressions Die. And don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created for your inspiration.

Mod Squad - Watercolor Stamping

Dear Ones~
It's my turn to host over at The Mod Squad Challenge, and this time I have chosen to do a little watercolor stamping.

SPONSOR

Gina K. has been in the stamping industry since 1998 and started Gina K. Designs in 2007. As the business grew, Gina asked her husband Tom to leave his position as an attorney to join her in the business. Together they built StampTV, their online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, social networking for paper crafters and more! You can find her videos HERE. She also offers a monthly card making challenge with a prize. You can find the challenge HERE. Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world. Gina’s goal is to continue to offer top quality signature products through her online store Gina K. Designs, along with informative and creative crafting videos.

PRIZE

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

This is my card:
For this card I used the Gina K Designs stamp set Wild Blossoms.  I might mention that when doing this technique a solid stamp must be used for best results. The greeting is from the GKD stamp set Scripty Encouragement. I smooshed the ink pads onto my craft mat and then used a paint brush to paint the ink onto the stamp. After huffing on the stamp, I stamped onto my card stock. The inks I used are GKD Fresh Asparagus, Dark Sage, Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango, Cherry Red and Wild Wisteria. Card stock is GKD White Heavy Base Weight and Tomato Soup.

Glad you stopped by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge Blog and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments.

I hope you all are well and staying away from others. These are strange times, aren't we glad we have our craft to keep us sane?

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.

Double D - Use Your Scraps

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are playing with scraps. We ALL have scraps of patterned papers and card stock. No one can ever bring themselves to throw anything away, so this challenge is perfect. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
I LOVE using scraps, and don't do it enough. Here I used an old retired Stampin' Up punch to punch out those hexagon shapes from different scraps of patterned paper. I used the Stampin' Up Detailed Bees Dies for the embellishments. The bee was die cut twice, once with black and once with gold foil. Then I inlayed the black body of the bee with the gold. I also cut the honeycomb twice and saved some of the gold "innies" for accent.

 The Ingredients:
 SU Crushed Curry Card Stock
GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
Stash Gold Foil Card Stock
Pebbles Garden Party Patterned Paper
Hackney & Co. The Emporium Patterned Paper
SU Honey Bee Patterned Paper
SU Detailed Bees Dies
SU Hexagon Punch (retired)
Trinity Stamps Gold Baubles

If you head on over to the  Double D Challenge Blog and play along, you could win this Die-namics Notched Border die. And don't forget to check out all the beautiful cards the other designers have created for your inspiration.

I'm so glad you stopped by, I adore your comments. They always make me smile. Please stay well and enjoy your crafting. We are all in this together. And don't forget to stop over at Double D and see what's going on.

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.
