Double D - Looking Back in Time and WINNER!!!!

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D we are waxing nostalgic and Looking Back in Time. Something that reminds us of times gone by. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
Dress forms were used back in the day when sempstresses had to make their own patterns. I suppose they are still used today in certain situations, but the average sempstress just uses a store bought pattern. This is a very old stamp from Gina K Designs, and I love it. Here I heat embossed with brown embossing powder and then colored it with Copics. Several dies were used, I love the patterned paper too. All the elements were sponged for a vintage look. The delicate die cut edge really makes this card unique

Here are the Ingredients:
SU Tip Top Taupe Card Stock
DCWV Preserved Paper Patterned Paper
GKD Springtime Silhouettes
SU Butterfly Gala for Greeting
SU Foliage Frame Framelits
SU Delicate Lace Edgelits
Copic Markers
GKD Dark Chocolate EP
Stash Pearls and Ribbon

I invite you to hop on over to Double D Challenges and see what the other designers have created. And if you play along, you will have a chance to win this fabulous die set.

AND NOW FOR MY WINNER

It is ALICE, with this fabulous card!!!!

Congratulations to Alice, and my thanks to all who participated in this fun challenge.

Mod Squad - Patterned Paper Triple Time

Dear Ones~
Happy New Year!!!! I trust that you had a great holiday and are ready to begin a wonderful and prosperous new year filled with awesome possibilities. But I digress.

This week it's my turn to host over at The Mod Squad. I have chosen to use AT LEAST 3 different patterned papers for my challenge.

SPONSOR

Together they built StampTV, their online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, social network for paper crafters and more! Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world.

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store

Here is the card I came up with:
For this card I used a Gina K Designs mini stamp set You Get Me. The patterned papers are from the Sending Love patterned paper pack. Card stocks are Sea Glass and Black Onyx, and the die is called Royal Frame. This is no longer available, but the Decorative Label Die would work just as well.

Glad you stopped by, and don't forget to head on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize! I can't wait to see your wonderful creations, and I adore your comments!

Dear Ones~
GIVEAWAY ALERT

HAPPY 3rd ANNIVERSARY to US. It's Double D's 3rd anniversary, so we are celebrating with WHAT'S ON THE MENU!!! And stay tuned until the end of this post, because I have a fantastic GIVEAWAY for one lucky player.

Just look at this Mood Board provided for our inspiration. We are to use anything found on a menu.

Here's my card:
I just LOVE black and gold together, so classy and elegant.  I also love a good martini, something you would find on a menu. This stamp is from Impression Obsession, I think it's so cute that they used cupcakes instead of olives, and a candle instead of a stir. Lots of blitz and glamour here, reminds me of the night clubs of the Roaring 20s.

GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
DCWV Black Kraft & Gold Patterned Paper
Impression Obsession Birthday Cakes Stamp
Paper Studio Words Stamp
