Double D - TEXTURES

Dear Ones~
This time the challenge over at Double D is TEXTURES. Lots of possibilities with this one, just think of how many things have TEXTURE.....well, EVERYTHING!! You could really get creative!! Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration.

This is my sample:
I love this patterned paper and I used it up. Wish I could get more but it's really old. That corner treatment is a die called Cut, Fold and Tuck. I think it's by Spellbinder. They had several dies with different shapes, but I don't think they are making them any more, too bad. I had a lot of fun creating this card using some older supplies.

 The Ingredients:
GKD Dark Chocolate and Ivory Card Stock
Stash Patterned Papers
Cut, Fold and Tuck Diamond Strips & Accents Die
Lavinia Fairy Thistle Stamp
Cracker Box Stamps for Greeting

Head on over to the Double D Challenge Blog and see what it's all about, we have some super talented designers who love to share creative ideas with you.

Dear Ones~
This time the challenge over at Double D is WINGS. Lots of possibilities with this one, just think of how many things have wings. You could really get creative!! Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration.

This is what I came up with:

I just love this die and stencil bundle from The Greetery called Jumbo Curiosity Dragonfly. And wouldn't you know, while I was making this card, I lost one of the wing dies. It's in my craft room SOMEWHERE, doesn't that just frost your pumpkin? The background behind the grid is made by stamping a scripty background stamp on some dark paper and then heat embossing with gold. One of my favorite things to do.

 GKD Kraft Card Stock
Amazon Butterfly Jalousie Window Die Set
The Greetery Jumbo Curiosity Dragonfly Die/Stencil

And here's my card:
Isn't this a hoot?? I saw this die set on Amazon, and I had to have it. To make the pot, all I did was punch out a 1 1/2 circle and emboss it with an embossing folder. Aren't I a genius?

Here' my card for this month:
I was recently asked by a good friend to make a wedding card for her and her husband to give away. I love making wedding cards and usually try and make them white on white. The dies used on this are from a GKD die set called Let's Get Started. It comes free with Gina's Intracut die cutting machine. Because it was so dimensional I made an envelope to fit the card. This was a totally enjoyable project!!!

 The Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Paper Studio Blanc Boutique Pearl Patterned Paper
Spellbinders Decorative Labels 8 Die
GKD Let's Get Started Die Set
GKD Petite Flourishes Embossing Folder
Stash Pearls

I hope you will jump in and MAKE THE CUT, I can't wait to see what you come up with. Head on over to the A CUT ABOVE BLOG to see what it's all about. And if you play along, you could win a $5 gift card to A Cherry On Top. Oh WAIT!!!!! Saturday, October 3rd was World Cardmaking Day. Double D - PRETTY in PINK

Dear Ones~
This time the challenge over at Double D is PRETTY in PINK. How fun, time to get some "girly" on! Here's the Mood Board for our inspiration.

 And here's my card:
I have been seeing this technique around the internet and thought I would give it a try. It's kind of a take on the "eclipse" technique. Here I stamped my image twice, using my MISTI to make sure they were positioned correctly. Then I just die cut one of the images out using an eclipse die. I think it turned out pretty good.

 The Ingredients:
Recollections Rose Petals Card Stock
Altenew Beautiful Day Stamp Set
Altenew Inks in Various Colors
LDRS Creative Inverted Corner Rectangle Eclipse Die
Honey Bee Mini Messages: Everyday Stamp for Greeting

It was really quite fun and I like the way the pears bloomed. Is your mouth watering???
