Golden Sea Bubbles

It has been some time since I have done a post. It seems my life is not my own these days. But I wanted to make sure and participate in the Mod Squad Challenge this week, because it is being hosted by my dear friend Barb Campbell. Barb is uber talented, you should go check out her blog if you want some inspiration. I love her work!! She has challenged us to make a card with a tag on it - what fun. Here is my card:

The particular stamp that I used from Designs by Ryn happens to be called Sea Bubbles - I love all the curly cues and the movement this stamp creates. I gold embossed it and did an emboss resist with Distress Inks for the background. Then I added the tag over top.

What a Hoot

What a beautiful couple of days - makes me smile.

Today's offering is for the Mod Squad Challenge, Birthday Card.

And for the Just Us Girls Challenge, Wild Card - Paper Piecing.

This is an older GKD duo stamp set, and I just love it. That little owl is just so stinkin' cute. I used Enamel Accents to put dots on his little tummy. Lots of paper piecing on this one, including the balloons, and the background. The "belly band" parts were stamped with Grass Green Ink and a stamp from the Fabulous Holiday Fillers set.
