Mod Squad - ANYTHING GOES!!!

Dear Ones~
It's my turn again over at The Mod Squad, and I have decided to give everyone free reign. ANYTHING GOES!!! Can't wait to see what you all comes up with.

Gina K. has been in the stamping industry since 1998 and started Gina K. Designs in 2007. As the business grew, Gina asked her husband Tom to leave his position as an attorney to join her in the business. Together they built StampTV, an online video website featuring broadcast quality paper crafting videos, galleries, a social network for paper crafters and more! Since then they have created a new website called Gina K Designs. Gina now has over 200,000 followers over her various social media networks and video sites from all around the world. Gina’s goal is to continue to offer top quality signature products through her online store Gina K. Designs, along with informative and creative crafting videos. There is also a monthly card challenge, where you have 3 chances to win a $25 gift certificate. Visit that HERE.

A $20 gift certificate to the Gina K Designs store.

Here's my card:

I made this card using the GKD Flowing Florals Stamp Set, with the Mixed Messages Sentiment Sheets for the greeting. I began by stenciling the background on White Layering Weight Card Stock with Whisper Ink, using the Ornamental Fans Stencil and my GKD Blending Brushes. I heat embossed that beautiful stamp on Black Onyx Card Stock using GKD Watermark and Embossing Ink and GKD Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder. The Flowers from the stamp set were stamped with Cherry Red and Tangerine Twist Ink, using the rock and roll method, and the leaves were stamped with Sea Glass and Tranquil Teal Ink using that same method. They were die cut using the companion dies from the Flowing Florals Stamp Set. I cut the card panels using the GKD Master Layouts 1 Die Set. The card was then constructed using GKD Connect Glue. Card stocks used were Black Onyx, White Layering Weight and Red Hot.

So that's it for me this time. Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy your comments. If you are the praying kind, please lift one up for all those who are suffering from the despicable horror that is going on over in Ukraine.  There are no words!!! And don't forget to swing on over to The Mod Squad Challenge and play along. You could win the prize!

Until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.

  1. The stenciling and gold embossing are so beautiful and yet such a lovely contrast too! I love the bursts of colors from those pretty posies and not so green greenery! Lovely all over!

  2. I would haver have thought to include both stenciling and gold heat embossing on the same background, Judy, but it looks fantastic with that lovely floral spray tying them together.

  3. How did you ever manage to pull so many things out of your Gina K bag and make them all go togther in this fabulous way? That gold embossing mixed with the stencil background is so unique and then you didn't stop there! No, you added the bright red and the sea glass and teal ink of the leaves makes this cardd outstanding and brillant!

  4. Wow!!! This is so beautiful, and the pops of tangerine really bring this to life. Stenciling, heat embossing, used every trick in the book to fabulous effect.

  5. Very creative and beautifully designed with the way you combined and coordinated. Love every inch of it!

  6. A gorgeous card Judy, so rich and exotic looking. CarolG

  7. Such an elegant card, Judy--love it! Sad to hear ModSquad is retiring. You always inspired me to use my GK goodies!

  8. Elegant and gorgeous! The black and gold really sets off the beautiful colors! Happy Easter, cold here today, we might get the dreaded snow tomorrow, but next weekend, in the 70s!!!
