Masking

Dear Ones~
Today's card was made for 3 challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=2452
A Blog Named Hero Challenge: http://ablognamedhero.blogspot.com/2015/02/challenge-time-masking.html
Mod Squad Challenge: http://modsquadchallenge.blogspot.com/2015/02/spring-forward.html

Here's my card:
For this card I used Gina K Designs A Year of Flowers Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger, and did the masking technique to layer the flowers. I stamped everything on watercolor paper and colored the flowers (and ladybug) with Distress Markers. I love how it turned out - I am such a fan of watercoloring. But then, dear reader, you already know that. *wink* I added a few Glossy Accents dew drops on the petals of the rose and colored the black flourishes with a black Wink of Stella pen for a little glitz.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White 120 lb Card Stock
GKD Black Onyx Card Stock
Recollections Painted Fancy Patterned Paper
GKD A Year of Flowers Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger
GKD Stamper's Favorites Stamp Set by Melanie Muenchinger
HOTP Flourishes Stamp Set
Tim Holtz Distress Markers
Glossy Accents
Wink of Stella Glitter Pen

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments!! Stay well, and stay warm, my friends.

  3. Gosh! Isn't this just gorgeous!?!? You did wonderfully with the masking to create gorgeous flower layers, jammed packed like a lovely Spring Bouquet! Coloring is spot on and I love the beads of dew and moisture, freshly picked flowers on a Spring morn.....ooooh how I long for this! That black flourish just makes everything pop, pop, POP! And your sweet little lady bug too! Well done!

  4. The first thing that I noticed on this card was the vibrant colors that you used. Gorgeous! Then I saw the dew drops and the sweet ladybug. Sweet! The black flourish just sets it off,and you nailed another challenge. But the Wink of Stella is outstanding in black.
