Make It Monday - Make it with Money

Dear Ones~
Well, we are having some fun over at Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday Challenge this week. We have been invited to make a card using money on the front. Money Origami, as it were.

Here's what I came up with:

This is a fold that I have used before for my grandsons when I have given them a Valentine and included a little money. They love it, and that makes me smile. I learned this fold on YouTube, of course.

Here are the Ingredients:
PTI Ocean Tides Card Stock
GKD White and All Spruced Up Card Stock
PTI Harvest Berries Stamp & Die Set
One Dollar Bill and One Quarter
Paper Smooches Foliage 2 Die Cut
Martha Stewart Pine Branch Punch
GKD Silve Embossing Powder
PTI Vellum

Thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments! I'm heading to Lansing tomorrow to spend the weekend with our daughter and her family.
We are going to the East Lansing Art Festival...always fun!!!

  1. very pretty card! i love the way this heart can hold a coin too. this fold especially has me wondering who decided to sit down and start folding their money one day, haha!! thanks for playing make it monday!

  2. Oh Gosh!! This is really pretty- I adore the origami heart! Very sweet card! :)
    Suchi xx

  3. I wanted to do money origami years ago (before YouTube) so never figured out how to do it. This looks great, Judy. I can see the kids loving it. I haven't been to the EL Art Festival in years. Sounds like fun.

  4. That is one fabulous fold. I know the boys enjoy it for many reasons! :) I love your colors on the card, they are perfectly beautiful! What an absolutely beautiful sentiment and I love it embossed on the Vellum strip. GORGEOUS!

    1. Oh and have a FABULOUS visit with Sarah and the boys! I can't believe that Festival is here again...seems like you were just there! :) Enjoy!!!

  5. Judy, your card's a beauty without the money. The heart makes it over the top gorgeous! Love the added coin too! Have fun this weekend!

  6. What a great card and a fun challenge. I am afraid I am not much of an origami type artist so doubt I could do very well at it, but I sure like what you did. I am sure the boys will like it even without money included.

  7. Love this heart fold and your card. I think vellum is the new black. The embossed sentiment is beautiful with the pretty flowers. I need a card for my great niece( 8 years old )so I thought about doing this challenge. They are always doing something different.

  8. This is beautiful!! The origami heart with coin makes it even more beautiful and special. Have a wonderful week end with your family.

  9. Love the addition of the quarter in the middle of your heart! Terrific card!

  10. What a stunning card! The folded money adds to the excitement. Have a great time!!

  11. Stunning design! I love the addition to the coin in the center!!

  12. Geez, I got behind, didn't I? Love this beautiful card! Way to go on the origami!

  14. What a beautiful card! I love that stamp set and the fun fold on your heart.

  15. Took me a minute to figure out where the quarter was. Duh! Great origami heart and goes well with Harvest Berries. Well done, Judy!
