Power Poppy - Winter Blooms Challenge

Dear Ones~
This is my second post today. It has been quite some time since I have entered any challenges, so I thought I would try and rectify that. This one is for the Power Poppy Power and Spark Challenge. Here's what the talented Stacey Morgan has to say about this month's challenge:
“When winter comes, many of us long to say goodbye to the chill and say hello to those cheerful and fresh spring flowers! Did you know there are lots of blooms that sprout at the end of winter? How about Camellias, Crocus, Paperwhites, Holly, Snowdrops, or Poinsettias? Let’s see how you can bring these pretty little petals and glorious greens to life and enjoy this last bit of winter as well!”

Here is my card:
I chose the Power Poppy stamp set Springtime Love for this card. I really love the greeting that comes in that set - a quote by Wordworth. It makes me smile. This image was stamped on bristol and colored with Zigs. Just a little image, but I think it's sweet.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD In the Navy and Ivory Card Stock
My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Patterned Paper
Darice Basket Weave EF

That's it for me, thanks for stopping by, I adore your comments.

  1. Such a pretty stamp and I really like the layout! Great challenge entry!

  2. Very pretty! I like the sketch you have here to combine the sentiment and the flowers. Great coloring to match. Thanks for playing in our Winter Blooms challenge this month.

  3. Your card is so gorgeous and it looks like a winning design to me. Good luck! And, I am enjoying the little glimpses of Spring. Winter is getting to be a drag! LOL

  4. Great layout and papers. Ahhh winter flowers remind us spring is on its way and you have colored a pretty bouquet. Our camellias are blooming and the daffodils have sprouted. Beautiful design, my friend.

  5. This is so pretty. The embossing, background papers, oval frame and beautiful flowers, and layout all come together for a beautiful card.

  6. Beautiful Judy, love the do and the pop of blue!

  7. Another beautiful card Judy. Fabulous layout and layers. So nice to see a 'summery' card. I am so over winter ones. I am melting here!

  8. What a great lacy background for the flower image that you colored so beautifully. I love the repeated pop of blue on this card, and the sentiment is over the top.

  9. This is the sweetest image from Power Poppy's very first stamp set. I do love the quote, too. Beautiful card, Judy!

  10. OMGosh! Is that sentiment not just the most perfect one you have ever seen? Oh that Marcie...and William! :) Love your design and those rich delicious Designer Papers--great choice! And of course your sweet little floral images, perfectly colored! This is divine!

  11. What a BEAUTIFUL card! Love the bright flower and the gorgeous background. Aren't Zigs the best? Love their bright colors.

  12. I love how you have framed this beautiful image and your pretty papers. Lovely card!
