Double D - Baby It's Cold Outside

Dear Ones~
This time over at Double D, Baby It's Cold Outside. The theme is WINTER!!! Just look at the awesome Mood Board we have provided for you. So many possibilities!

Here's my card:
I decided I wanted to use snowflakes on my card and keep it monochromatic. I mean, what screams WINTER more than snowflakes and white? So I stamped and white heat embossed these beautiful Papertrey Ink snowflakes and swirls on vellum. Then I dry embossed that falling snow background with an embossing folder from Stampin' UP.
I love the way this card came out.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD White Card Stock
Paper Studio Silver Glitter Paper
Papertrey Ink Vellum Card Stock
SU Softly Falling Embossing Folder
Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Snowflake Stamps
GKD Snow One Like You Stamp for Greeting

Please come on over to the Double D Blog to see what the other designers have created. And you could win this awesome prize if you play along. Isn't that skates die from IO adorable?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are keeping warm, I think it's finally winter here in Northern Michigan. Thanks for all your sweet comments, they always make me smile!

  4. Beautiful winter design. I would love to join in on this but I put all my things away for now. Maybe later I can sneak in a design as I love seeing all the winter inspiration the designers have done. Great photo too for getting one's muse working. Not much snow on the ground here to inspire me either. LOL

  5. Holy snowflakes, Judy! Those white embossed snowflakes are so gorgeous and dimensional on the vellum. Brilliant! There's an embossing folder that's a must have for winter/Christmas cards, and I do not have it, so I'm thinking something needs to be done about that. You combined some beautiful elements to bring this card together. Merry Christmas, Judy!

  7. Amazing, Judy. The fine lines of the snowflakes would have been lost had you not embossed them on vellum. The flourish gives great movement like a wind blowing the snowflakes around. This is truly one of my favorites of yours.

  9. Trying to catch up here...love the white on white for a winter theme. I'm shivering just looking at it! (Actually, it's pretty cold here in NC, which is unusual for us.) Beautiful card, Judy!
