Double D - Popping a Wheelie

Dear Ones~
I trust you had a good holiday weekend and stayed safe. This time over at Double D we are playing with WHEELS. Anything with wheels will do. Here is the Mood Board provided for your inspiration:

This is what I came up with:
I have had this cute little wheelbarrow full of flowers image for a long time. It's a very old Gina K Mini Stamp set. It probably has been long since retired. Anyway, my eye went right to the cute wooden wheelbarrow in the Mood Board and I thought of this stamp. I used GKD Faded Brick card stock and stamped and heat embossed the image with Brown Sugar Embossing Powder, made a mask of the image and then stamped the diamond shape from Altenew Geo Frames over the mask. This was also heat embossed and then the whole thing was fussy cut. Then I painted the flowers with bleach and when it was dry I colored them with colored pencils. I stamped the image again on some GKD Grateful Heart Patterned Paper and fussy cut the bed of the wheelbarrow.  The background was textured with a Stampin' Up Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder.

Here are the Ingredients:
GKD Kraft and Faded Brick Card Stock
GKD Thanks a Bunch Stamp Set
GKD Grateful Heart Patterned Paper
Altenew Geo Frames Stamp
SU Basket WEave Dynamic Embossing Folder
Bleach
Prismacolor Pencils
Nuvo Crystal Drops

I invite you to hop on over to Double D Challenges and see what the other designers have created. And if you play along, you could win this cute die set.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great week. I cannot BELIEVE it is September already!! Don't forget to swing by Double D and check us out.  Oh, and I so appreciate your lovely comments!!!
Hugs~

  4. Wow, those flowers are so pretty! Funny, the first thing I noticed was the leaf print on the wheelbarrow. Love that! Fun how challenges prompt us to pull out our older stamps sometimes. This looks brand new to me and I love it!

  5. Wow, there is a lot of technique going on here. First that background of the basket weave is perfect with this wheel barrow full of beautiful flowers. Love how you go that look with the bleach. I also caught the leaf print on the wheel barrow. Great effect and very original too. It is good to find our older stamps still can do the trick.

  12. Lots of steps to this card, Judy, but it's darling. Lightening the flowers with bleach before coloring them makes them pop.
