Double D - Let's Go to the Beach

Dear Ones~
It's beach weather for sure, especially here in Northern Michigan. We have had a heat wave like no body's business. And how opportune, since the challenge this time over at Double D is - you guessed it - LET'S GO TO THE BEACH.

Here is the fabulous Mood Board for our inspiration:

And here is my card:
I used several different stamp sets for this card. And the background has been watercolored with some new Karin Brush Markers I recently purchased. I love them. You can't really tell, but I fussy cut that Nautilus after I painted it and popped it up. Really makes a difference in the effect. I cut a strip of vellum for the greeting and added some stash gems. A little Stickles finished off the "sand" under the shell.

The Ingredients:
Strathmore Watercolor Paper
Karin Brush Markers
GKD By the Sea 2 Stamp Set
Close to my Heart Perfect Day Stamp Set
Stickles

  2. Beautiful and peaceful scene you have created, a lovely card and a great stamp set you have used. There are birds on the beach right now as I am looking out my window, looks like rain though. We have been staying put here and enjoying it a great deal!
