Dear Ones~
It is an honor, and my great good pleasure, to be hosting the June Monthly Mix Challenge over at Gina K Designs. Thank you Gina and Karen for inviting me!!
I have been a fan of Gina's for so many years I have lost count. She is the one who inspired me to get into card making and I have never looked back. I have made many, many wonderful friends because of Stamp TV. Thank you, Gina!
My challenge for you this time is CHANNELING GINA. I am inviting you to chose one of Gina's videos and make it your own. Put your own twist on it, but keep the technique or design that she has featured in her video. The link to her videos is HERE. The video I chose to use is HERE. It is called Colored Pencils on Kraft Card Stock.
Here is my card:
I
chose to use Innocent Pink Card Stock instead of Kraft, and I hand
stamped the floral spray by using Masking Magic and images from Arjita's
and Lisa's stamp sets. I colored the resulting image with my Prisma
Colors and
Gamsol, highlighting it with my white gel pen, and fussy cutting it out.
Then I mounted it onto a piece of White Heavy Weight Card Stock, which I
scored to create a lattice look. The die cut HELLO from
the A Little Hello Layering Stencil Bundle, along with a vellum die cut
silhouette behind, finished off the piece. This is a 5x7 card.

I do hope you will join us for this month's challenge. If you play along you could win one of three $25 gift certificates. I can't wait to see your creations.
Thank you for your lovely comments, as always they make me smile.
And until next time, here's celebrating your Creative Muse.
Hugs~

ReplyDelete*typo* lol YAY! Where it all began! WHOA! Hello to you! This is one little beauty here! Love the texture and your overall design! Your coloring with the pencils on Kraft looks AHmazing, the florals are so beautiful but I am totally in love with your foliage--look at those colors! Congrats on the Gig--isn't it grand to be back?!?!
DeleteYour Gina K cards are always so inspiring. Beautiful flowers and love that lattice embossing.
ReplyDeleteI can not begin to tell you how fantastic this card is, Judy! I am blown away and initially thought Gina made it herself until I decided to read the post. I honestly can say that your coloring is as good as Karen Hightower too! YOU have really outdone yourself and I will do everything I can to play along.
ReplyDeleteThis is a honey of a challenge and your card is so sweet. Amazing of you to score the background to get that lattice look. Your coloring is stunning and showcases this stamp set. Of course, I will join this challenge.
