Dear Ones~
As I write this, it's February 1st, so you know what THAT means. This month it's all things HEARTS over at Double D. Here is the Mood Board for our inspiration:
And here is my card:
I had so much fun making this card. That heart is a rosette made with a strip of 12" patterned paper. You can see a video by Maymay HERE to see how it's done. And the card design is France Martin's creation. She has Frencie's Stamps.com, her video can be seen HERE. I thought it would be fun to mesh the two together and set the heart rosette inside the window. This card has an insert on the inside with patterned paper on the front so that it shows through the opening. You really need to go watch Frencie's video where she makes her design. So many possibilities, I can't wait to make more of these.
A closeup of the Rosette. I'm tellin' ya, you need to try these!! They are so much fun.

ReplyDeleteGosh this is just so beautiful on the outside, inside and middle! Love that heart rosette! Pretty shades of pinks, the gems are the perfect accents, all of that texture and oh how I covet that GKD Love die--swooooon! This is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow do you do it? Watching videos and them putting two fabulous designs into one card. Those little pearls on the front of the card really pick up the colors in the heart. So much texture and that simple LOVE die makes it great.
ReplyDeleteExquisite, my friend! That heart rosette is just gorgeous. So many beautiful details...embossing, dimension, colors! Truly a gorgeous piece of artwork.
ReplyDeleteWow Judy, this is stunning! I'll definitely have to watch the video to see how to make the heart rosette. What a beautiful, beautiful card this is! I can see why it would be so fun to make such a eye catcher. The colors, the texture, everything is perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh, I see! It's actually 3 panels -- I love it! This card just keeps on giving with the details so pretty and fun. Love that accordion heart. You are a clever girl to mesh these ideas and create such a beautiful card!
