Dear Ones~
There's a new challenge over at Can You Handle the Pressure. For this challenge blog you MUST use an EMBOSSING FOLDER on your project. Heat embossing (with embossing powder) is permitted but only IN ADDITION to your embossing folder design. Each new challenge will have a 'TWIST' which is optional ... your choice to use or not.
The OPTIONAL TWIST for today's challenge is:
WEATHER
Here's my sample:Lots of fun fussy cutting here. I brought out some patterned papers that I thought were kind of weather related, and colored that sweet little ducky from Simon Says Stamp with my alcohol markers. It came together pretty quickly because of the fussy cutting. If you have the right patterned papers, fussy cutting is the way to go, much easier than coloring and it really packs a pop. I embossed that cloud background panel for some dimension.
The Ingredients:
Recollections Gray & White Card Stock

Doodlebug Easter Express Patterned Paper
SSS Showers and Flowers Stamp Set
SSS Swirly Ridges Embossing Folder

OMGosh how adorable and love your overall design! Nicely done my friend!!!
ReplyDeleteSo stinkin' cute! You certainly picked the most perfect Designer Papers, for your panels and for the paper piecing--love the look! He is super cute and enjoying the inclement weather for sure! Adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cute little duckie he is and all perfectly colored and paper pieced too, a fabulous design and great inspiration for our challenge!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love that you chose gray for the overall color. It still looks like a rainy day, but brighter somehow. Your panels with the light blue clouds and the rainbows and the flowers really add a punch. I must mention your cute duckie with the patching umbrella for this card. He takes the show. You are a master at cardmaking.
ReplyDeleteLove your card, I think paper piecing is one of my favorite "oldie-but-goody" techniques!
ReplyDeleteThat duck is so cute, Judy, and all those papers that you combined to make your card are so perfect for a weather related theme.
ReplyDeletePerfect ducky weather and your little lady is thoroughly enjoying it! I love her outfit and the umbrella matching the paper. So utterly cute!
