Double D - BEACH

Dear Ones~
Well, it's beach weather - or almost anyway. And that's the challenge this time over at Double D - BEACH. Here is the Mood Board for some inspiration:

 Here's my card:
I don't know why, but I always have a brain block with beach-y cards. Maybe because I don't identify with the beach - I live in the north woods. This cute little image is a Mo Manning digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil. She is called Beach Baby and I fussy cut her out after coloring her with alcohol inks. Oddly enough, I recently saw the same image over at Penny Black as a photopolymer stamp. Same name, you figure it out. The background is made with a stencil by Funky Fossil called Sun and Sea. Unfortunately, it is retired. The "sand" is some embossing powder by Seth Apter's Emerald Creek. It's from the Baked Texture line and it's called Dirty Sand.
 Pretty cool, aye??

  The Ingredients:
Recollections Ivory Card Stock
Funky Fossil Sun and Sea Stencil
Emerald Creek Baked Texture Embossing Powder
Mo Manning Digital Stamp
Various GKD Inks
Alcohol Inks to Color Image

  2. I think I have this stamp too but for the life of me I don't know where it is. Probably in Florida. You did amazing things with your image she is sitting there on some real looking sand with a wonderful sunrise sunset in the background.

  3. Wow, what an adorably cute cute beach scene, the background is amazing!! I can relate to both the beach and the woods, we live in the woods but are close to the beaches, best of both worlds LOL!

  4. The sweetest beach scene! The sand and sunset are amazing. Lots of texture with that awesome embossing powder. This little beach goer is loving her day with sunshine and seashells. Great sentiment!

  5. Wowie, this is absolutely fabulous, Judy! Your stenciled scene is amazing, and the sand looks so cool. Yes, Penny Black has a lot of Mo Manning as well as Lily of the Valley. This one is definitely a cutie!

  6. (no, you figure it out and get back to me lol--funny, huh?) This is adorable. She is so delightful--love those little baby bellies! Perfect spot to soak up the sun! And your sand--how fantastic! Kind of the best kind of beach sand--doesn't track into the house....or outdoor shower! ;) This is Pure FUN! (get it, Pure Michigan???) xo~

  7. Even if you're in the north woods you are still close to lakes, Judy. ; ) This is just fantastic. The girl is darling but it's the stenciled and embossed background that really grabbed my attention. I love that you have sand embossing powder that actually looks like sand. I bought one and it doesn't look like sand at all. I just posted a card with that same sentiment so I guess I'd better go send that card to Double D.
